My brothers and I found Silk House to be perfect for our needs. The staff are very welcoming and are more than happy to help with any question. The family rooms were clean and comfortable, all the facilities suited our needs. The location was perfect for us as we were working in Hackney. I would like to say
that silk house is an excellent guest house we loved it and will hope to stay there again
P.s a special thanks to a Omar who made us feel right at home. alle vurderinger »
Their staff was extremely helpful and nice. Had hour-long conversations with them every night. Often had cake and fruit for the guests.
Rooms + bathroom were both clean (cleaned every morning).
Overground station is 3 minutes walk away.
The staff were all extremely helpful going over and above what was expected. I will certainly recommend this hotel and also it will be my first choice if needing accomodation in the area in the future. An extremely good experience.
Clean rooms, nice basic breakfast (just help yourself to cereal, toast and tea), a secure place to lock my bike out the back, efficient staff.
Nice and helpful stuff, clean warm room, cosy lounge room with kitchen,
very close to the overground station.
Great friendly staff, very helpful. Ample food. Clean surroundings. Close to the station.
Friendly helpful staff.
Room was clean.
Good budget accomodation.
Close to tube station.
Very friendly staff. The communal lounge was nice and the free breakfast unexpected.
free on-street parking after 1830 and at the weekend. Staffed 24 hours. Cheap.
quiet room
hotel history and inner design
room with big windows
gentle staff.
Nice, quiet location close to Victoria Park. Relaxed atmosphere.
Friendly staff, breakfast for free, luggage storage for free.
Very good value for money, beds extremely comfortable!.
I like the location, price, environment and staff,.
The Quiet atmosphere and the courteous service.
The people at the desk were so brilliant.
Cool Place
Nearby Train station.
Small, conford and warm.
The hotel was quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable. We stayed here for 2 nights during a festival at the Olympic Park - great location for this. Towels were provided and bedding was perfectly clean. Although Hackey is not rumoured to be the nicest of places we had no problem with the location, and were able to park for free just around the corner.
We found this hotel very pleasant! At arrival we thought it wasn't nice enough, establishment-wise but after spending time there we found it really cozy and familiar.
i've enjoyed the backyard of the building and its a big advantage that there was PC with internet.
Atendimento, pequeno Jardim externo, chuveiro///
The attendants, The little Garden, the shower.
- price and location in Hackney
- Wifi worked well
- nice staff members.
friendly staff, clean room , and kitchen facilities were good.
Rooms are okay. Nice outside garden. Close to Victoria Park.
Clean en friendly staff.
cheap.
Room was ok size and there was a small desk.
Bathroom was decent and water in the shower was hot.
There is a big kitchen area where it is possible to cook something, make tea and it is possible to store few things in the fridge.
Easy to find, clean and perfect if you need a cheap bed for the night on your own after a night on the beer.
It was cheap, clean and close to the Hackney Empire and potentially the building has architectural interest.
Easy parking for our vans.
Cheap for London. Communal areas clean and reasonable well maintained.
Staff were friendly and helpful. comfy bed. Very easy to get to, 5 min walk from tube.
It was very convenient in location since I had to be in South Hackney...
Nice area of London, not far from The City. Familiar hotel staff.
the price is nice, single room is big.
Hotel personal was friendly.
Building. Towels, bed, tv, sink in room. .
It was more like a hostel. Bathrooms ugh! Breakfast a joke.
Not much to like - bed was reasonably comfy I suppose.
close to travel links
computer with free wifi.
Nothing.
nothng.
Only complaint is the location. It was great for the Wireless festival, but 35 minutes away from the centre of London (Oxford Street area).
Dark, sometimes sketchy street. As a rather intimidating-looking male, it wasn't an issue for me, but for solo female travellers it could be.
No working shower hose in any bathroom... Only bathubs and short taps...
Not very clean bathrooms.
The decor was disappointing and a bit scruffy.
Carpets could do with cleaning.
Could use some updating!.
What I didn't like in it is that some people are smoking and it was coming into my room, because I don't smoke so is very hard and uncomfortable for me to be in a environment like that. but apart from this I like the place.
Thin walls, snoring woke me up.
No neaby Bus transport.
There were no bathrooms at bedrooms.
The decor is out of date and the bathroom facilities were clean, but did look old and tired. The room wasn't serviced during our 2 night stay but that didn't really bother me.
Bad Wi-Fi reception, it should be available in the whole establishment, not only the reception and lounge.
when i have had came to reception to book in i needed to pay the same ammount in cash that i already payed on letsbookhotel.com. ive been told that i need sort of pin code to pay from letsbookhotel.com. receptionist told me that money ive payed on internet for room will come back to my bank acc automaticaly, but i'm still waiting for them..
Acabamento das instalações (frestas), aranhas no banheiro.
The hole in the toilets and the room, with spiders inside.
- hotel not very well maintained
- credit card surcharge
- breakfast sparse
- print-outs cost 50p per poge.
Extra charge for using debit card ,.
Last time I was there, I got badly bitten by bed bugs!.
Far away from the centre.
Far away from central London.
Illumination of room was not great.
TV screen very small. The hotel is quite large but there are a lot of people which means rush-hours for using showers and bathroom in the mornings.
Night staff appalling, walls very thin kept awake by other resident snoring........Wouldn't take wife.
At this price I expected to share a bathroom, but my room had damp stains on the wall, a botched attempt to mend a broken window pane with bathroom sealant, and there was no hot water if you got up after 8.30am. The owners care enough to clean thoroughly, but not enough to buy a pot of paint or a pane of glass.
Too many sharing the bathroom facilities which themselves were dirty and not in good condition. Sink dirty in room. Condoms on balcony...you get the picture.
Bedroom needs updating- peeling paint and broken wardrobe. Only one thin pillow provided. Shared bathroom- toilet paper had completely run out by the middle of the night. Rooms need more thorough cleaning- there was a used condom on the windowsill- not pleasant.
The walls were very thin and I would not recommend the place to anyone that is afraid of spiders as I encountered several within a day.
Paperthin walls, poor bathroom - you can not put your clothes or
towels anywhere.
there was no hot water in bathroom on the first day. when i checked in, the machine was broken and i had to pay by cash, so that i walked a few blocks to find a ATM then went back to pay.
Rooms condition was terrible.
Staff, service.
Room was too hot. No way to turn the heating down or open a window.
£5 to pay for the room with either debit or credit card.
Required photo ID at check-in
No directions to the room. Would need modernised up!
Felt the same as a hostel, but a hostel would have been much cleaner.
if rooms had ensuites.
.
The staff were very disinterested. The room itself had nothing besides a
tv. No bin no complimentary tea bags no pictures. They had a tesco
cartier bag on the cieling for some reason. You could hear people
talking a moving furniture arpund in the rooms next to us. On leaving
the room the staff watched you like hawks in case you nicked anything -
though there wasnt much to steal.
Rat catcher on display in room
Poor quality of workmanship (toilet ran all night and shower was on bare wood)
Thin walls
Unsafe feeling door
curtains hanging off
dirty walls.
Rude staff. Terrible english and manners, terrible when deal with guests. Too expansive for the very poor service.
I hated that place!.
1) the room was really bad,
2) noices from other rooms were very loudly heard
3) bathroom didnt had shower.
When I compare this with my B&B in Glastonbury it was really very poor for the same price!!!!
Very expensive for what you get!.
We are four persons live in the two rooms , however , left a black bag
in the hotel , and we asked for whether the staff can post back to my
address , since now there is not any responses .
