Set in 800 acres of its own grounds, Kirkton Barns Country House is a family-run bed and breakfast located just 10 minutes' drive from St Andrews golf course and a 5-minute drive from Dundee. This Victorian farmhouse features an original staircase and period fireplaces. It offers free WiFi, 5 elegantly decorated bedrooms and ample on-site parking free of charge. Decorated in light and neutral colours, all rooms at Kirkton Barns Country House include a flat-screen Freeview TV with a DVD player and a welcome tray. 3 rooms have en-suite facilities, while the 2 basic double/twin rooms have a shared bathroom with shower/bath facilities. All bathrooms include complimentary toiletries and towels. Guests can use the lounge to sit and relax, read a book or listen to some tranquil music. Breakfast is served in the large dining room. It includes a cold buffet of cereals and fruit, followed by a choice from the extensive hot menu. Kirkton Barns Country House is just 5 minutes' drive from St Michael's Inn, where guests can enjoy pub meals. Leuchars Train Station is only 5 minutes’ drive away and Tentsmuir Forest and Kinshaldy beach are around 15 minutes away by car.

Gorgeous setting with lovely, hospitable hosts. The inn is very warm, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect time to interact with other interesting quests. It is a nice 15 minute drive to St. Andrews. We stay in B and B's frequently, and Kirkland Barns is among the best we have experienced!. This is really a home away from home with a lovely spacious bedroom, comfortable sitting room and elegant dining room all at the disposal of guests. The hosts were the best we have met in our year of travelling and our fellow guests were extremely pleasant to spend time with. A most enjoyable experience.

The host is very friendly and he drove to the town to guided us to his property. He gave us a lot of advices about golf activities at St. Andrews as well. Breakfast was fabulous with a varity and plenty of food! By the way, good shower!. I was on a cycle tour with a friend and we arrived dripping wet. Our host was so kind helping us dry out and giving us a lift to a nearby restaurant. It is a beautiful comfortable and quiet house which I would happily visit again. We loved Kirkton Barns tranquil country setting. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated. The host couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We were close to St. Andrews and numerous golf courses. It was perfect!. Home away from home. The room was wonderful and breakfast fabulous! We were treated like royalty in a wonderful home! If you are going to be in the area, and enjoy B&B experiences, don't miss this opportunity!. We enjoyed are evening sitting in the beautiful living room overlooking the countryside. It was just what we needed after days of fast pace activities. Rory was a wonderful host and his breakfast was awesome!. The host was very attentive and provided very good advice and local knowledge. The accommdation was very nice and traditional. The breakfasts were excellent with a variety of food. Lovely house and pastoral setting. Great breakfast. You really feel like a guest in someone's home in the best sense. Lots of conversation and many suggestions on things to do. Enjoyed the personal attention the quiet location, the well sized rooms and beautiful homestead. The personalised breakfast was also great with the communal breakfast table. Based in the country off the beaten track. Close to wonderful coastal walks and beaches. Beautiful countryside and close to the amenities at St Andrews. I found the staff extremely friendly and would do anything to make the stay more comfortable,the room was spacious and warm,the breakfast was adequate. Everything was pretty nice, host was really kind. Execellent breakfast, beautiful house with a nice garden. Very close to Saint Andrews. Welcoming host, beautiful farm manor style location. Great night's sleep and fantastic breakfast. No complaints whatsoever. The owners were professional and helpful.the hoyse was beautifully kept. The room was spaceoys. Rory was very friendly and gave us good tips for our next travel day. very restful, out in the countryside. Lovely staff, wonderful house. hospitality. The proprietor and premises. Not a thing. Nothing, it was wonderful. A little out in the country but work for us as we were heading north to Glamis Castle the following day. The road leading to the house was unsurfaced. Beds were not great for my husband's back. Only staying a night. Would have enjoyed longer. The 5 pm booking in time can be a bit late especially if touring. 2 pm would be better. Nothing to dislike. Nothing. a little out of town, and there are no meals other than breakfast. cobwebs in need of refreshed decor. Location was miles from the nearest premises where food or drink could be bought. Had to drive to get an evening meal.
