We loved the building and decor, and the location was absolutely perfect. We always choose hotels with openable windows (rather than air conditioning) where possible, and this one met that criteria too. We slept well and it was quiet - no disturbances from other guests or from outside. The breakfast was also great, and the staff friendly. We would stay again if in the area.
The situaution of the the hotel to the train links is good, walking
distance to Richmond is good, approximatly 20mins. The staff are
friendly and the public bar has a comfortable feel and good ambiance.
Although no car park you can park on the side streets from noon until
10am the next day for free.alle vurderinger »
The location, close to the Botanics was excellent, the staff allowed us to store our bags at the hotel which was great. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the wine good. The bed was nice and firm, we enjoyed chilling out with Vogue and GQ after a hard days wandering.
The room was great. Larger than we expected and tastefully decorated.
There's a laundromat next door that came in handy if you don't
want to have to pay hotel laundry rates... Nice large Bay windows on our
room. Located above a good Eglish pub, with good food and beer...
The staff was extraordinarily friendly. They made me feel right at home and we're responsive yet not obtrusive. I stayed at the Inn because of its close proximity to the National Archives. If I go back on another research trip I would definitely stay there again.
I liked the cleanliness and eco friendly outlook, the staff service in the dining room and the breakfast was excellent. Also I liked the way the rooms were named after flowers and the tree photographs on the landing. And the bed was very comfortable.
we got there early as we had to attend a family wedding, which was at 2pm. although this is official check-in time, David very kindly got housekeeping to get our room ready so that we could get changed and get to the wedding on time. Wonderful staff!.
Staff were extremely friendly and offered above and beyond service. Particular gold star to the gent general manager! Lovely crowd in the bar in the evening and good food!.

The location.
Friendly and helpful staff.
See below. The service and staff were great; staff was very nice and helpful. Being first time visitors to the UK, we were very impressed the The Inn at Kew. Would stay there again on future visits.
The check-in and check-out process was slightly chaotic as the staff were manning the bar or sorting out breakfast at the same time.
The hotel could do with repainting on the outside to look like the
picture on the web site and the dressing room table in room (
Larkspur)replacing as the glass frontage is cracked and broken. I would
say a fair price for this hotel would be £85.00 per room including
breakfast. We paid £110.00 I would may be have been happy with this if
care was taken more with the hotel fittings and decor. We would return
at some point in the future tho.
The shower and sink and bathroom floor weren't that clean which was a bit off putting, the shower had pink scum around the edges and both were quite water marked and had someone elses hair left over... euuuck. The restaurant ran out of their signature puddings and only had ice-cream and cheese, given that we dined at 7.30 which is quite early this was pretty poor.
The bathroom had a bad smell, maybe a mould type smell, it was quite
strong so we had to keep the door closed all the time.
My only complaint (and its minor) is that the wireless internet went out the last day.
An armchair would have been nice, but not essential as the bed was comfortable to lounge on.
The lack of a fridge in the room was a bit annoying because it was so hot- we wanted to keep some food we bought cold, but that wasn't possible.
The decor and general feel of the hotel is a bit tired and worn. However the room we had, had been recently decorated and was very confortable.
The only downside due to the unusually hot weather was the lack of air con or even a fan to bring the room temperature down.
Main (only) complaint is the hotel seems to be secondary to the bar and restaurant. There's no separate reception desk, only a cash register and a place to put keys -- and it's stuck at the end of the bar. The staff are always busy with drink customers and seem to have to pull themselves away to deal with hotel matters. Half the time nobody answered the phone, undoubtedly b/c of the same thing, so I had to keep trying. Again, friendly but hotel didn't seem to be their main priority.
No faults at all. Could have done with better weather but I can't blame the Inn for that!.
Our room was over a pub, so it was very noisy on a Friday night. It's also right below the flight path to Heathrow, so planes started flying overhead at 5 am.
No aircon, and no late bar for residents.
We found the mattress very uncomfortable as we both kept rolling into the middle. A new mattress in room 6 is a must.
Nothing serious enough to complain about!.
generator outside window so that we had to choose between open window on a very hot night and noise or closed window and slightly less noise.
no comfortable arm chair
rather cramped bathroom.
The hotel is alleged to have parking. This is incorrect as you have to park on the road which is limited to resident permit holders between the hours of 10am to midday.
This is very misleading, and makes the hotel inappropriate if you wish to leave your car during the day.
Some of the younger staff seemed a little bit uninterested? Are they
students perhaps..? (Some even seemed to struggle with the language?)
But the majority were very service minded. He lack of car parking nearby.
Dodgy heating!.
The hotel is unfortunately on the airport flight path, however this isn't too loud if the windows are shut.
Right underneath Heathrow flight path, so a little noisy.
Room was rather small and no heating in the bathroom on a very cold weekend.
Tiny issue as it really is a lovely place...the lampshade and cupboard tops were thick with dust, my husband flicked the light shade and I sneezed!.
No off road parking must be a big problem Moday to Friday noon. Could do with a lick of paint.
I phoned and emailed beforehand to enquire about local car parking facilities. No reply in either case.
Nothing.
Check out could have been a bit later ie 12 md.
nothing.
Lack of dedicated parking.
nothing. Nothing.
