Although the rooms were just a tad tired they were very clean and the beds were comfy.The breakfast was marvellous and plenty to choose from.Wouldn't go hungry here. Very pleasant and helpful staff.Ideal location for travelling.2 mins from the motorway by car .Local bus stop just across the road and regular service.Just ten minutes to town centre.Would definately stay again.........Top marks..but then we did come mid-week.Cant say what it would be like at the week-ends..
alle vurderinger » 1.Hotel very convenient for buses into both Glasgow and Paisley. 2. Parking free, and we were allowed to leave car in car park until mid-afternoon after checking out. 3. Room small but comfortable, and equipped with hairdryer and iron+ironing board. 4. Hot, powerful shower - although no bath. 5. Lots of big mirrors. 6. Good selection of hot choices on breakfast buffet counter. The staff were brilliant, nothing was a bother to them.The price for 18 of us who were in Glasgow for a family reunion was amazing . The Breakfast which was included in the price had everything you could want catering for all tastes.The restaurant opened at 6.30pm where you could get a 3 course meal for £10. Hotel is also in an ideal spot for traveling in and around Glasgow. The hotel from the outside looks a little shabby but don't let that put you off! It's great on the inside. As they say, 'never judge a book by it's cover' and this is one example. The staff were friendly, professional and polite. the breakfast was excellent. It's in a super location (except maybe when a football match is on!) I would highly recommend this hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful. was advised to Pre-booked dinner for £10pp for 3 courses! (Good advuce).The breakfast is just what you need on a cold December morning after a party night at a nearby club. Have stayed at the Glasgow swallow several times and will be going again for another weekend soon. 1st time up to Glasgow we had a overnight stay to break our journey up, as we were playing golf further north. We couldn't get over how friendly and accommodating everyone was in the hotel & city centre. Watch out Glasgow we will be coming again, Christmas shopping next time!!. The price, £45 for two of us B&B excellent bus route, staff friendly, easier to Glasgow centre and closeness to the bbc studios which is where we went. Bedroom and bathroom very clean, room nice for what we needed. Bar open late as we came in late. Stayed one night, you need a sat/nav to find this place, out side a little worrying, no signs, looks run down. What a find inside, nice friendly staff,clean standard room, nice breakfast, plus a set meal for £10 at night.great price.would stay again. Excellent hot buffet breakfast well above the standard that might be expected in a budget hotel. Whilst the selection was limited, the table d'hote and a la carte evening meals were well prepared and presented and generally excellent value for money. The room tariff - the location - the size of the room - the bar and lounge area - friendly/helpful staff - breakfast was excellent! All in all, this was a great choice for our short stay - simple, affordable, no frills but had everything we needed. First of all this hotel is petfriendly. It was very important for us, we dont like travelling without our doggies. The staff was very friendly, our room clean and the bed comfortable. I can just recommend. The dogs were very satisfied too.:). When I arrived the front office staff were ever so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Walking to room every staff member I saw housekeeper wait and bar staff all said hello. In restaurant staff were attentive without being intrusive. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming. The public areas are clean and in good condition ( Bar, Reception etc) The breakfast was very good and plentifful. It is in a good location for visiting Ibrox Stadium, Braehead Shopping Centre etc. All staff most welcoming, pleasant & friendly. Bedroom clean, warm, quiet & comfortable. Food very good with great choice both for dinner & breakfast.Adequate off street parking. Excellent value for money. We have been going to the Swallow for 30 yrs and the staff are the best ever. They really go out of their way to help you. It is very handy to get to anywhere,buses just across the road and the tube just 2 streets away. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was super. Prices were reasonable. Three Course Supper with the room was a great deal. The location by the climbing center and House of an Art Lover was ideal. Food was good and breakfast was buffet style. Location was within train or bus ride to central city. The staff were very accommodating. The room was clean and for the money this was a great place to stay. I especially liked the excellent cost of my stay. The breakfast included was also of an excellent standard. Staff at check-in and in room-dining room were all very friendly courteous and helpful. Hotel very good value for money, came to see kings of leon playing at Bellahouston park, this was a 10/15 min walk away so perfect. A lovley big buffet style breakfast next morning full English. frequent stayer at hotel due to closeness to ibrox stadium & cant fault the hotel for anything, staff are friendly & the breakfast is plentiful & excellent, cant wait till next time. This was the second time I've stayed at the swallow hotel and will deffo stay there again when I'm next in Glasgow. excellent proximity to Ibrox stadium and the city via underground, bar was good, breakfast good, staff helpful. Close to Ibrox as we come for football but also close to the subway so it's easy to get into the city centre. Local to Ibrox for the football match I was attending.The receptionist on duty was also friendly and helpful. I loved how close it was to Ibrox. Which was the reason I was there. Great rooms and polite staff all round. The hotel suited us perfectly as a base.The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. Location - right next to Ibrox Stadium and not far from Subway linking with city centre in 15 minutes. one night stay only but friendly and comfortable. very good breakfast and excellent value for money. Liked everything.even the old television..Just like mine at home!!. 1. Room rather dim, as no main light in room - only one bedside lamp and one lamp over mirror. 2. Would have liked muesli and a selection of breads for those who prefer a continental-style breakfast. Having visited many hotels and guesthouses in my work, I find it hard to believe that there are still hotels charging ridiculous amounts for wifi, which the vast majority aren't charging for at all! I didn't bother as I refuse to pay £4.99 for 30 mins!. Only negative! The Swallow needs a bit of care and attention, looks tired and worn out, but after saying that it was spotlessly clean. Like all swallow hotel it needs upgrading and still looked like the 80'S. I used to work at a swallow hotel in durham so brought back happy memories. Breakfast wasn't a lot of choice but nice. On the booking form it didn't state you couldn't book in until after 2pm. The area outside the Hotel, little run down. The hot water system was somewhat erratic, there was plenty of hot water but the shower temperature kept changing in use, presumably due to low pressure and too many users. The TV reception was also very poor. Outer appearance of the hotel looks very shabby indeed, and does not match the interior, which is really not bad! There was a connecting door between our room and the next room and the noise from our neighbours was very loud. Minor point but we only had one pillow each, which was not enough for me...I had to double it over. Everything was excellent. The only thing that got me was how far it was from city. I know it is not too far but it may have just been me assuming that it was within easy walking distance you can easily walk but not with large bag!. The rooms are very tired and require redecorating or modernising. Corridors would benefit from redecoration & exterior could be 'tidied up'. Got a bit run down over the years but don't suppose they have the cash to do much as they are in liquidation. The extra stairs to get to our room. The spa was closed for renovations. The hotel is situated in a 'seedier' part of the city. From the outside it looks rundown. It is great for the price but fittings like TV and bathroom are very dated. The damaged handle on the shower unit and the fact the shower tap was passing water in the off position sending water to run from the head. Left shower off the hook in the base foe water to run out without the disturbing noise. But as I reported this hopefully it will have been repaired. nothing. For the price, everything was great!. Televisions old and needs updating but no big deal. Lift also a bit risky to use. I have no complaints. Busy saturday night at the bar with a guy who could not work the till, under staffed ! A duty manager with spiked hair who was on a power trip because he could not handle the situation ! And bar prices to make up for cheap room prices - £2.90 for a blended whiskey = £87.00 / bottle that can be bought for £15.00 or less in the supermarket !! Will not drink in the bar again !. Nothing. The noise from the water running in the toilet all night. The shower and bath oil bottles were used on the Sunday night and they were not replaced with full bottles for the Monday night. Hotel needs updating. what's not to like, friendly staff, clean & comfortable. The coffee was instant in the dining room. Room redecorated - could have been better. Missing hairdryer. Bathroom needs done. Noise from road kept me awake. The outside of the building could do with a face lift but that didn't stop us enjoying our stay. The outside of the hotel looked a bit rough, Toast machine at start of breakfast queue, causing unnecessary delay for breakfast. Fousty smell in stairwell, very strong and a bit off putting but once in room no smell apparent. I suppose the only thing was the area seemed a bit run down,but this would not stop me using the the hotel again. although room was comfortable and okay, rather dated decor and fittings and fixings, carpets taped, in need of an update. If anything there was not a decent bar menu available after the football was finished. Could have done with an option for a later check out. 11 was a just a tad early. That's nothing major though. Club next door playing loud music deep into the night Breakfast - should move toaster to the end as was a massive queue waiting for toast and felt bad about jumping queue to get hot food beyond toast queue. Hotel needs a refurbish and bar prices were a bit high. Nothing on this my first visit I didn't like.
