Clean and very comfortable
Fairly spacious for central older flat.
Have to say, only there 2 nights and did not eat in apart from breakfast, therefor can not comment on use, but everything seemed to be there.
Location was perfect for everything you would want to see & do in Edinburgh, situated in the New Town area close to Waverley Train Station, in walking distance to the Old Town 10mins. Rose Street is a good place to stay!. alle vurderinger »

Loved the underfloor heating in the lovel big bathroom.
We liked the centre of the city location. All restaurants and shopping were convenient. Transport was within an easy walk.

A sign in book with recommendations from visitors to other visitors would be great!.

location and decor. We enjoyed our stay at Destiny Scotland Rose Street Flats for the convenience and location and close to everything. Wish we could have stayed longer in Edinburgh.
Good location, good facilities. Rooms were big and clean. Very comfortable. Very close to shopping areas (e.g. primark, M&S, H&M), and a short 15 min walk to attractions (e.g. Edinburgh castle, Old Town).
good clean every thing you need for a city break not at all like entrance.
Underfloor heating in bathroom
Comfy bed
reasonably equiped.
Location, clean, as advertised, not expensive.
The location was very convenient.
Great location!!.
Great location but that's about it.
Could not find a teapot!!.
All good,.
The dingy stairs up to flats.
Finding the main entrance is a bit confusing - there are no signs in the main entrance door. The contacts with the staff was just by e-mail.
Trying to find the apartment. Rose Street is quite long. Find Hanover Street, The Element Bar, Greggs sandwiches and savouries. 72 is written on green door. Why cant they write DESTINY on wall/door?.
It was quite far to collect key. We used about 10 mins to collect the
key from the train station. And Used about 20 mins to the Flat. We found
the key is wrong and used 20 mins getting back the office to change it.
The 45 steps it took to get up to the flat. Would not be suitable for
someone with a disability or fitness issue. Couldn't get hob to
work. As we were eating out it did not bother us.
Noise from the downstairs bar; maybe double glaze the bedroom window. Light that streamed through the bedroom window; the light could be fixed by a better curtain that covered the whole window.
the entrance before you get to your room could do with freshening up.
The side street location gets early morning trash pick-up and late night traffic on the street below.
plug in the bathroom didn't work.
Directions to it were hard to understand, if they had just said to look
for the green door half way down the lane it would have saved us
confusion, also the stairwells needs a lick of paint, they don,t match
the great interior of the apartment!.
The street fog light next to the bedroom window turning night into day. Noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. To be expected given the location.
Was a bit put off when i entered the main dor into the stairwell as it was a little dark and dingy.
Pull out couch was broken and unusable slept on the floor.
A little noisy some nights from street below and would be good if kitchen window opened to let cooking smells out. Nothing else, everything else v good.
Only one thing needed, a full length mirror in the bedroom.
Entrance stairs shabby compared to apartment but small quibble.
taps in bathroom were nearly falling off, no full length mirrors. The only negative thing we can say is that one has to go to another place to pick up the key initially and then find the flat in the next street on your own. Initially this was not a good feeling - the lane was unfamiliar and the door entry uninviting - but we did get used to it after a few days.
Difficult to find the place in the cold and rain! Asked several people how to get there, but they didn't know how to either.
There was hair on the bathroom wall when we first entered the place.
dreadful entrance and stair well poor lighting feels like you are entering a city slum had to persuade daughter to at least look at apartment enough to spoil any holiday.
WiFi didn't work though 2 different keys supplied.
Used roasting dish in oven!
Someone else's sock in the washing machine!.
Noisy, pillows and sofa bed a bit uncomfortable.
I checked-in on a Sunday evening and discovered that there was work
being done to my building. The windows of my flat were blocked by
scaffolding and plywood sheets. After complaining I was moved to a new
flat on Monday evening, which turned out to have no running water. I few
hours later I was moved to a third flat which was acceptable but had
several minor problems (I.E., no microwave oven, dishes that were not
compatible with the flat's dishwasher, etc).
Poor shower drainage and other small stuff though out the apartment.
Low standard of upkeep by landlord. Very poor heat insulation. Fittings need updating. Obviously been done on minimal outlay. More like a student's flat than one aimed at tourists / professionals.
