This was a lovely little quaint b&b with 2 bedrooms and a sitting room for guests to use. The host was lovely and very knowledgeable regrading the local area and very helpful. Would recommend anyone to stay here. We only stayed for one night while at a wedding but it was lovely and had a great nights sleep.
We had an excellent stay at this B&B. You have a living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom + delicious breakfasts for a very reasonable price. Also well situated quiet village in the Scottish borders, not too far from Edinburgh. Lady Penelope was a very friendly host !. alle vurderinger »
I liked absolutely everything at Lady Penelope's!! Penny is a wonderful host. She made us feel "just like at home", only with better breakfast than we actually get at home ;-) Didn't feel hungry till 4 pm!
The B&B has beautiful unique furniture and even a piano.
We were with our daughter and had the top floor of the house to ourselves. Interesting decor with lots of art and beautifully furnished. Central location but very quiet. Very friendly and accommodating host. Good breakfast with local produce.
Penny was a very welcoming and interesting hostess. We enjoyed the privacy of having a complete floor to ourselves and loved the quirky building and elegant, antique furnishings. The breakfasts were excellent and locally sourced.

her European visits.
Excellent clean quirky accomodation and very homely , breakfast cooked fresh with alternatives . 15 minutes from a1 and also countryside roads available too .
Most things: tastefully artistic decor and appointments. Everywhere you turn a nice little surprise . It is not your everyday B & B !.

Two rooms, sitting room and bathroom was economical for two adults (not a couple).
Although we did stay for 5 nights, we would have liked to stay much longer ! :-).
Well.... somewhat lacking, here and there, in spaciousness, but on the other hand, this helped to create an agreeable cosiness.
Nothing.
Very cluttered with narrow stairs made moving suitcases difficult. Not good for anyone with poor mobility. Too much like staying in someone's home, including eating at their kitchen table. Also breakfast very greasy.
