Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and room facilities
On entering reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast itself was very enjoyable with a relaxed atmosphere, so compliments to the chef and staff. Room was a good size, it had everything you may need available, loved the bathroom. The appearance on the outside and inside of the hotel was very clean and tidy.
The carpet in the room could have done with replacing, and the room freshening up, plughole for shower was blocked, the view was miserable considering it was a platinum room i expected better.
Excellent resturant, as there is not many resturants in Douglas, we were glad of it on Saturday night, when way turned away from one.
Decor and standard of breakfast
I really enjoyed the sea view and the relaxed feeling and ambience of the place
The reception staff did not give a happy feeling, however the restaurent staff were kind and helpfull
The size of the room in relation to the price was excellent
Nice warm comfortable atmosphere
Lack of communication/ social intercourse with staff, especially re times/meals
Very pleasant stay, clean room adequate facilities and veryhelpful staff
Pleasant staff - fine dining room
The location...
View of Douglas and very comfortable room and lovely bathroom
Fair opposite was extremely noisy at night, but is only there during TT fortnight
internet access very good
The room I had was next to a fire door , that was continually making a very load banging noise as people went through , I sugest you improve the self closing doors , I was woken up very early and unable to go to sleep .
Location excellent and rooms very nice
reception staff were very very poor. we all had problems booking in and when we wanted to speak to a manager, no one wanted to know
It's location and the restaurant
We didn't get the room we wanted. It was our first wedding anniversary and we wanted a sea view and all we got was the the noise form the air conditioning units
Good Breakfast
Unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom due to drains
Good sized rooms, good proximity to centre of town, free internet access. The staff, largely Polish, were helpful.
Restaurant stops serving at 9-30.
friendly atmosphere
Friendly Staff
Sea view. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent restaurant staff at breakfast.
Poor response from receptionist when she was told our room was cold. She said she was cold too! We mentioned that unlike her, we were paying for the privilege.
I enjoyed the breakfast, and the location on the Prom.
The room I was in had abysmal lighting, I could barely see my hand in front of face let alone try to read. The bathroom was also very old, with a toilet that went on for close to 10 minutes after flushing. I had a room overlooking the alleys in the back where they seem to be constantly throwing things in the bins and moving them about from early in the morning.
The breakfast
No views from room all windows looking out to walls and fire-escape,very dark, had to keep curtains drawn all the time, wouldnt more thanone night in room, this room should have been a lot cheaper, thought thisbad when I had requested room with seaview, even if they didnt haveseaview as we only booked late, should have let us know we would havebeen looking at walls would have chose other hotel
The rooms were very small, the night menu was never available, the elderly people in our group were given rooms which involved too many stairs,no bar, we booked 3 nights BandB but only recieved 2 breckfasts,
It was TT week when I stayed and all hotel prices are almost double those at other times - I do not totally accept the reasons for this
Carpeting in public areas, stairs and in rooms is looking a bit worn and grubby. For £180 per night bed and breakfast I would expect it to be immaculate!
Friendly staff
The dining area was quite smoky
