Situated just 10 minutes’ drive from London Gatwick Airport, The Old House Inn features free on-site parking and a mature garden. Rooms are located in a converted barn and offer super king-size beds, a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms are named after local woods, and also include a hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. Home-cooked breakfasts, fresh pastries and fruit salad are served each morning, and guests can also enjoy a variety of classic British dishes and finer dining amidst a country pub atmosphere. The seaside town of Brighton is less than an hour’s drive away and features a large pier full of family entertainment. The National Trust property of Wakehurst Place is a 12-minute drive and includes a 16th-century country house and a mainly 20th-century garden.

All the staff were really friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. We ate there every night of our stay. The decor of the inn was understated and stylish with lots quirky little rooms and low ceilings. Our room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable and the wet room/shower room was very stylish. Although we were there on business, staying at The Old House Inn felt more like a holiday. We cannot wait to go back.

Staff were helpful and had alot of time for their customers, which is a good attribute. Would certainly stay again. Raj made us feel most welcome, as did all the staff. the room was very modern, tastefully decorated and the super king bed very comfortable. although breakfast was very slow it was well worth the wait. thank you. Great welcome from staff. Accommodated in restaurant even though no reservation and fully booked. Fantastic menu and drinks selection.....would visit again just for dinner. Very clean, tidy and modern hotel. The staff were very friendly and the food was of a very good standard. Will stay again if in the area. Designer bedrooms are accessed direct from rear courtyard, on ground and first floors. Bathrooms are full wetrooms with wow factor. good hotel in perfect location for sightseeing. Room was small but had everything we needed. we will be back. The staff were great, they canceled one extra day since I couldn't make it to stay two days. great service. the family run atmosphere and the food was excellent and we would come again to stay. great rooms ,very tasteful interior of inn and restaurant. The welcome, the evening meal, the bed, the breakfast. Room sizes were good. Bed good. Service good. Good location Nd very high quality fittings. Arrived late and given a great welcome. A thoroughly charming place to stay!. Everthing!. Quality. Food was excellent and waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Bedroom and bathroom were large and quiet. Bed comfortable. Rooms were good size and comfy. The inn is in the flight path of the planes flying to and from Gatwick, which can be a bit disturbing in the morning. There is nothing that can be done about this, but any would be guests need to be aware of this if you are looking for somewhere tranquil to stay. The old house hotel is very expensive for food, drinks and accomadation, however it wouldn,t put us off staying again. Breakfast starts at 9am on a Sunday which was a little late for us but a nice meal non the less. No staff on site after pub closes in the evening so no late room service available. A bit far from London. nothing. going home!!. No chest of drawers. No mirror near usable power point for hair drying. No shower cubicle just a hand held shower with bath. No rack for toiletries on bath. Breakfast options poor - no side table for juices etc and only one cup of coffee. Not a major issue but there was a lovely bath whereas most airport travellers( if that is the target market) may prefer a shower. Didn't spoil the stay however. Nothing.... Would you be able to let me have a vat receipt!? Thanks. Cold breakfast. Breakfast was poor but the service was excellent. Breakfast not available before 8.30 at weekend, but manager made us coffee and cereal. Room only had 1 chair, so nowhere for 2 people to sit except on bed. No plug socket near a mirror so difficult for ladies to dry hair? No advice on the hotel information web page that we needed to book a table for dinner, but theymanaged to find us a table in the 'snug', but we had to finish by 9pm. Loads of dust under the. Bed not good when trying to. Find ear Tring id dropped. We couldn't have breakfast coz of fly time but we still were charged for it should there not been a reduction in price.
