This former 16th century boutique coaching inn is set in the market town of Bridport. It offers luxurious rooms, a charming restaurant and a cider house, 2 miles from West Bay.
Rooms at The Bull Hotel feature elegant decor, a flat-screen TV, hospitality tray and Neal’s Yard toiletries. Some rooms feature a roll-top bath, four-poster bed or scenic views of Bridport.
Breakfast includes yoghurt, cereals, pastries, home-made bread and fruit, followed by hot options including eggs benedict and kippers.
The Bull restaurant offers relaxed, rustic cuisine using local produce and canapés are served in the Venner Bar on Friday nights. You can enjoy pizza and pies with a local cider in The Stable or a drink in the pretty courtyard.
The property is ideally located for walkers, and information on other local attractions can be provided. A great base for exploring the Dorset Jurassic Coast, The Bull Hotel is 20 minutes’ drive from Lyme Regis.

The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had! Really good choice and well cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The 2 places on site to eat were fab, complete contrasts of each other but great! If you are a cider lover then you will like the variety of local cider available at The Stable. The rooms were all very clean and tidy.
Staff were terrific, helpful and engaging. Location was good. Breakfast was top-shelf and included in the room which was a big deal. Despite being in a room that overlooked the restaurant, it was very quiet after about 10pm. Lovely bed linen.alle vurderinger »

Lovely comfy beds, beautiful interior design in rooms, the best food ever in the restaurant, nice relaxed atmosphere, busy with locals in the evening.

the buzz in the courtyard.
No free guest wifi
The mattress on our bed was too soft so we had a lack of quality sleep (this is just down to personal preference, if you like soft mattresses then you'll love it).
Our room was tiny, could not get around in it. The windows wouldn't open / close easily, worst was the electrical outlet placements were virtually impossible to use, concealed under bedside tables and behind the TV, no mirror near any of the outlets.
Would have liked a little bit more choice on the menu for the main meal. I wanted a light meal but there was a poor selection of salads.
Lighting in the bathroom was rather dim, which made shaving tricky !.
Our bedroom in front was very noisy, as on the main road through Bridport, would book a room at the back next time.
HAving stayed here regularly over approx a 5 year period Ia m always
amazed that although the staff are very friendly they never seem to
realise or recognise that I am a regular visitor. I think they are
missing a trick and an opportunity. It doesnt really bother me but I
think some people might be offended. Being asked to fill in all the same
details on a card each time is tedious and pointless and surely their
system should be flagging up a returning visitor.
No negative comments.
Nothing.
Room was a little small but had everything we needed in it.
couldn't get a drink late afternoon as the bar area is so small - there are only a few tables and people had taken chairs from other tables so no-one else could sit down. The bar staff need to help with this situation and offer chairs or alternative areas for drinks. We just tried to find somewhere else in town but there isn't anywhere as nice as the Bull.
Traffic noise with the windows open in recent hot weather.
A lot of seafood on the menu to which I am allergic!.
Car parking limited.
