We really enjoyed our stay at Midway Place. The accommodations were modern and clean. Nita was a perfect hostess. She was very friendly and helpful, giving us great suggestions for finding pubs to eat dinner. The pub right next door was cozy, convenient, and had excellent food. Nita prepared us a delicious English breakfast to get us started on our day. Midway Place is a little bit of a drive outside of Bath but it gave us the English countryside we were looking for. We stayed for 2 nights on the second night we came in and there was flowers put by the window, such a lovely touch. The couple Alice and Brett who run it are a very nice couple and very helpful giving as tips about bath and bradford on Avon. Bath is beautiful and plenty to do. The weather was fabulous so loved sitting in the wonderful gardens. Bradford on Avon was lovely by the c. Great location, close to Bath and links to the M4 motorway. Friendly, very helpful hostess who went out of her way to make us welcome and provide gluten free bread for my husband who is a coeliac. Beautifully clean and comfortable with superb shower facilities. Excellent full English breakfast available as well as fruit, yoghurt, the full works. Superb, would visit again. The Midway was a beautiful place to stay away from the crowds in Bath itself. The owner/managers (Brad and Alice) were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. The Fox and Hounds Hotel next door was great for a drink or a lovely meal. It id definitely worth a stay but you will need a car. Midway is the best bed and breakfast my mother and I have stayed in. The welcome was warm and friendly. A bus to local town Bradford on Avon would allow a chance to visit the town without driving. The BnB's address is not recognised on GPS system. Hard to know the correct direction out of town. Better instructions for finding the place are needed. nothing to dislike. 10 minutes drive from Bath, but otherwise great, if you are looking to get away from the city a little, it is definitely worth the stay. A little difficult for us to find, relying on a gps thinking that 10 Fairleigh Wick was a street address. Once we entered it as a city, or entered the postcode there was no problem. The road was very noisy. Very hard to find fault, but did not like the bath mats (seriously this is all I could comment on). A bit out of the way with just a Pub next door. Nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Nothing to dislike. The road in front of the house is quite busy but not at night and if you close the window it doesn't disturb at all. My friends and I found the beds and pillows a bit hard for our liking. Our room was on the side of the building next to the main road and road noise during the night was so bad I hardly slept. A room on the other side of the bulding may well have not suffered from this noise. Nothing of note. No phone in the room. Roadside noise, bring earplugs!. Room very small, & when we opened window for fresh air the road noise was too loud so had to close it. Road noise starts early, but if your a heavy sleeper, not an issue.
