Loved the place! The hotel is located in a lovely old country house with beautiful and quiet courtyard. The rooms are very basic, but very clean, the bathroom is spotless and even has a hairdryer. The owner Emre is very hospitable and helpful, he picked us up from the train station, drove us to Ephesus and gave us all the information we needed. The breakfast served at the hotel is quite basic too. Since the hotel does not serve any food after breakfast, Emre recommended (and drove us to) Ejder .
alle vurderinger » We were put up in their new property which was 2 mins walk from the old one.A very nicely done up place with a small pool and a very homely feel. The staff was really good. He dropped us at Ephesus in his own car. Guided us how to get back. They even dropped us to the bus stop where we had to take the bus to pammukale. Since they did not have guest coming in immediately the day we checkout, They let us keep the room till 4 o clock. Really loved the place with great view. and a walking distance . We actually stayed in their sister hotel, Amazon Petite Palace (I think the Amazon Antique was closed for the winter). But Amazon Petite Palace was fabulous! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The two cousins who run the hotel were extremely helpful and welcoming and gave us lots of information about Selcuk, Ephesus and other places close by. They were around all day and night which made us feel very safe (we are two women travelling by ourselves through Turkey). We would definitely rec. Everything in Antique Hotel is delicious. All the details are perfect, and the rooms are very nice (AC, TV, newly renovated). Also the small swimming pool in the courtyard is very pleasant to give you some relief from the warm days in Efesus site. The old city area (St, Jean) where the hotel is located is pleasant and very typical. We stayed in a newly renovated part of the Antique hotel, realized in an old wooden house, with its own courtyard and terrace. Perfect location to visit Efesus. Very. This is a very quaint hotel in a quieter area of town. It is an old converted farm house I think with 6 or 8 rooms only. Rooms very basic but clean and functional. Staff very friendly and helpful and sitting in the courtyard was like a step back in time. If you want all the mod cons this is not for you but if you would like a quaint family run small hotel you should give this a try. It has no TV but it does have internet and will take credit cards. Nice local restaurants a short walk away. The new hotel space, which opened during our stay, is a nice upgrade to the original space, which is still quite nice but more rustic. Emre was very helpful and his cousins were ready with rides to Ephesus or to the train station. The neighborhood is mostly residential so it was quiet and had a comfortable feel. TV and WiFi (if those matter) were very good. It was a great place to relax and a comfortable base for exploring the region. Amazon Antique was a lovely hotel at a very reasonable rate. The character of the courtyard creates a really nice atmosphere and the owner was more then accomodating, he drove us to the train station and to Ephesus as part of our stay and answered all the questions we had. This is a great budget hotel accomodation. The rooms are older but clean and you will really enjoy the room they serve breakfast in, it was lovely. Emre was a superb host, gave us rides to and from the otogar, and also to Ephesus. He very generously let us use our room until 9 P.M. At no cost, so we could wait in comfort for the overnight bus to Istanbul. During that time we had free showers, coffee, etc, and we were able also to enjoy the pleasure of sitting in the delightfully shaded courtyard with access to free wifi. Great budget option with surprisingly comfortable beds, great location close to several Selcuk sites and the downtown area, and wonderful owner. I cannot praise the owner enough- he works himself to the bone providing advice, running people to and from Ephesus, the bus and train stations, and generally being helpful. This hotel is his personal labor of love, and it shows. Fantastic location near the mosque and the basilica. Family run and everyone was very helpful. They picked us from the bus station, drove us to Ephesus and also dropped us off at the train station when we were leaving. They have a new stylish 8 roomed place over the road with a small plunge pool - just the ticket after a hot day at Ephesus. Small family run hotel, rooms set around a pleasant courtyard. Staff very friendly, running us up to Ephesus in the morning, organising a tour to Pamukale and suggesting a visit to the Dereli beach, where we ended up deciding to book a night in a beachfront cabin at the camping ground, which was also very nice. The hotel owner is my saver for the trip. He helped us a lot all the way especially when I lost my wallet. He is the one who let me make the international phone call to my insurance company. Without him, I will be totally helpless in Selcuk. The hotel itself is also really nice. The best for this trip!!!. The boss offered us to live in a brand new hotel of his which is just across the road. The price is the same, but the facilities are brand new, including a big balcony and swimming pool. When we leave, he gave us very useful advice on transport. I will surely recommend it to my friends. Everything was perfect. The staff was super kind and helpfull, they even gave us a ride to Ephesus. The room was very nice and comfortable, with air conditioner, great shower and wifi signal. Breakfast was good and the dinner delicious! Location is also perfect. Totally recommend it. Amazing hotel! They came to take us at the bus station for free. I ended up in the new "part" of the hotel (petit-palace) and I simply loved it. It is well decorated and the facilities are perfect (modern pool). The best hotel in Turkey that I have been so far. A big extra - we had one triple room, but Emre offered us the use of one additional room for a more comfortable stay! This was above and beyond. Small extras like dropping off at Ephesus was great. The restaurant had a small number of excellent choices. The owner was very helpful, picking us up from the bus on arrival and dropping us to the station when we left. The room was new and very pleasant. We enjoyed use of the pool as it was hot while we were there and breakfast was very nicely served. The staff is very nice and helpful, although it seems that only one of them speaks English fluently, every time we wanted to ask something we needed to go to that handsome staff. The location is quite good, near the mosque and St.John's church. Emre and his cousin were wonderfully hospitable.we are elderly and their advise for the easy way to get the most out of our few days in selcuk,was exellent.the garden was a bonus. If you are looking for 5star this is not for you. The host is very nice and helpful. He picked us up in the early morning when we arrived in Selcuk, gave clear introduction about this place, and also sent us to Elphsus. The room is clean, and breakfast is good. The service was amazing. I have never met nicer people than the people who were running the hotel. They offered to send us to places that we wanted to go to. The dinner we had at their restaurant was delicious. staff speaks English and give helpful advice on plans. we met several Chinse here, so no matter how the average review score it is, for most chinese people it is a good place to go. the owner is a good person. Lovely garden.. and owners.. the same as the Amazon Petite Place. The hostel is little bit older than the Amazon Petite Place and thus the price is lower. However, the service is as well as the new one!. Nice atmosphere, frendly staff, cosy, nice decorated, pitoresque area, close to sea (8 km.), close to St. John Church, St. Mary House, Ephes old city, Seringe, a lot of turistic places around. Helpful staff in picking us up from the train station on arrival and delivering us to the bus station, early, on our departure. Pleasant, newly refurbished, Petite Amazon Antique room. Parking on road, rarely traficked street. excellent location and service. we didnt have time for the tours, so we have to go again to selcuk and amazon antique will definitely be our choice. the host is very friendly. the position is very good. 5min to the st john's church and 30 min walk to the efes city. the facilities are quite new. Staff was friendly, the courtyard was lovely and breakfast was good. Wifi was available in the rooms, and the air conditioning worked well. We love the owner and staff who are very nice and recommended us without any charge, made us surprise that they may not be Turkish guy ;))). Excellent hotel and great location. Very friendly staff. The hotel has such a cozy courtyard, but it does not serve food except for breakfast. loved everything!!!. We were here during November so it was a bit quiet around the hotel, especially at night. We never had any problems at all, but it may something that solo travellers should be aware of. It's a bit difficult to find in the winding streets so look at a map first or ask for directions. Nothing. I liked it all because it was simple and friendly. The hotel is not in the center so getting to and from is about a 10 minute walk. The rooms were basic, though traditionally decorated. Emre diappeared in the early morning of checkout, when he was supposed to take us to airport - that early in the morning, there was no staff at the hotel. We were getting tense when it turned out that a shuttle driver pulled up (turns out Emre had arranged this substitute without telling us) so it all was ok. Communication could have been better!. the room is a little small. No bad comments. Nothing. A few problems with intermittent or non-functioning lights. Staff forgetting promise to arrange a slightly early breakfast and to take us to the bus station on our departure, until we reminded them!. The rooms are quite simple comparing with our expectation, anyway a nice environment is better than anything. We had tiny ants in the bathroom, and the first room we tried smelled a little musty. It will be far if you walk from train station. the breakfast is simple. Nothing!. Nothing. The room has too much humidity... The new rooms still have a few kinks to be ironed out. Original location may be more visually pleasing. We had to move on. The barking dog at night was annoying. We rented an apartment. It offered a lot of space for the money, but I would rather pay a little bit more if it were more updated.
