I have never felt so welcome in a hotel as in Gültepe Apartments. Mehmet, Mette and Oktay will do everything possible to make your stay a very pleasant one. We booked for 1 night and stayed for 10! Mehmet and his family were exceptional hosts. A wealth of information on things to see and do in the area. The apartments were spacious and clean. Great swimming pool, great food, and if you're up for the challenge a game of scrabble with Mehmet! A terriffic place to stay.

We loved the feel of it , the romance of the rooms, the nooks of comfortable spaces and places to lie and read, or simply relax, the communal suppers where so festive and interesting to speak to fellow travellers, we likd the fact that it attracted like minded travellers, the pool was a god send, and the location to the historical sites was great, we hired a car and would definetely recommend that as an option. well done to the Bakhhos team - we had a brilliant stay

Excellent location, staff (always going "above and beyond") simply wonderful, warm and helpful, I happened to get a super deal and am delighted with that, more than adequate facilities, wonderful room (spacious, decor, beds, linen, furnishing, balcony, view etc.), excellent rooftop bar and restaurant with a fabulous view. Hasan (owner with his family) and his staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. Hasan himself did transfers to and from Izmir airport for us and was so helpful with prompt emails after our flight times got changed 5 times! Hasan also drove us around to all the sights for a private day trip and was really patient waiting at each sight, never rushed

The hospitality of the host and staff which was amazingly professional ,helpful and knowlegable for such a small hotel .
The rooms were spotless, spacious and comfortable with stunning views of the harbor . The promise of access to a swimming pool was an added plus that some hotels in this price bracket just don't accommodate. The hotel was well displayed and it only took a question to a nearby shopowner to direct us in the right direction ,but the views far outdid this small inconvenience

Quiet street, friendly proprietors gave lots of useful info about the area. Lovely terrace for lounging and cocktails, breakfast and gathering. We will return!
