  Dusit Island Resort has a beautiful location on an island in the middle of the river. It is not far from the centre of the town. You can get there by tuk-tuk or taxa in 5-10 minutes. Transport time from the airport to the hotel is 20-25 minutes by car. We had a room on the 7th floor.   Fantastic large pool overlooking the river Kok. Staff very friendly, although English very limited in the restaurant. Poolside meals were good value at weekends (offer). Very helpful and efficient in organising our day tour to the Golden Triangle, everything worked exactly as promised. - The views. Overlooked the river and pool. The food.   Beautiful, tranquil setting overlooking the river. Has its own private pier for boat trips one of which we took to ride elephants and visit the hill tribes. Excellent spa facilities and infinity pool. Great restaurants serving local fare, Italian or B-B-Q food. The night market is a great place to experience local cuisine for very little Baht!
