  The hostel has been completely renovated and everything seems brand-new. There is a fully appointed kitchen and communal dining room with dishes and cutlery. Some food and drink is available for purchase at the dining area but a grocery is 200 metres' walk away, as are half a dozen hotel/restaurants. The village is calm, quiet, peaceful, and th... hva folk sier » e hostel is ideal for families; we felt very happy to be there, and the twin proprietors were polite, helpful, and friendly. - We weren't quite sure what to expect as we had not stayed in a hostel before. No problems though - the rooms and facilities were exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our one night's passing stay. Excellent.

  This is a fabulous hotel, a stones throw from a beautiful river. The welcome we got from the ladies was as warm as the dinner. It was like going to Mamas house on a Sunday. We arrived in the evening and had dinner ( extra cost but worth it) Clean, tidy and full of Swiss charm, they even had the delightful Lily the cat popping in to say Hello. ... hva folk sier » This was one of the most comfortable nights sleep we ever had. Laying under a real down quilt on immaculate bedding was a sheer joy. The breakfast w - This hotel was very easy to find from the A2 and the staff was very friendly. The room was a good size with a large balcony. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful. We ate in the restaurant and were very impressed by the food. I would highly recommend this hotel.

  Astrid was fantastic and waited for us to come very late with no problem. Very friendly and clean, the only place where I dare looking for a room with a shared bathroom. - Warm welcome,perfect location,comfy, clean and reasonable price for Switzerland.

  We booked Gasthof Sternen for one night sleep, in between two days of long drive from Italy to Belgium. The place is simply as it is advertised, simple and great value for money. Tom was extemely helpful when check-in was delayed beyond midnight due to an accident on the way to the hotel.
