We spent the night in Vevey the night before heading into the Alpes. It is a lovely town on Lake Geneva and this hotel is a few minutes walk from the trains station and even closer to one of the two docks where it is possible to catch a lake excursion. We had a double room with shared toilet and shower and never had to wait to use either. The internet signal is strong, beds comfortable, towels thick and large, shared kitchen very clean and in good order and there was room in the refrigerator.

Room was excellent value for money considering the prices some places were charging. Had a secure place to store our bicycles. The location is great! 10 minutes walk from vevey train station. To save money on food, i would recommend travellers to get your food supply from Denner, located in migros? Next to st antoine shopping centre. Good location on the lakeside. Nothing...everything was great!. Check in process was difficult. We arrived and no one was at reception desk but we found someone who let us leave our luggage until we could check in 3 hours later. Sharing showers with other guests was wierd but this is a youth hostel so that is to be expected. When we step on the floor it makes a lot of noise. The showers cut off after 30 seconds of use. Very inconvenient to lose your water so frequently. The reception is not full time. The shower room and toilet are not separate by gender. I don't like. The wall is pretty thin. I heard every noises in the morning. In addition, there is no any washbasin in the room. You have to use in the shared bathroom only. there is a 5 franc hidden fee. 'for the bed sheets'. 隔音效果不好. the staffs; initially we have been given with a bed and later at the night some one came and woke my mom and asked to move to some other bad. Very bad in organising... and no staffs available after 8.oo pm.. please stay away from this hostel...
