The staff was extremly helpful - even recommending restaurants outside his hotel. - Very good location right next to the congress centre withreasonable price. Short walking distance to old town and/orfrequent trams to there. You get free public transportation ticketfor your stay. Free internet.

  My husband and I stayed only one night. The staff spoke English to us, which we appreciated. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We were given excellent instructions to use the tram (our first time on a tram) to get to the old town shopping area. We liked that the hotel was environmentally friendly, for example card activated li... hva folk sier » ghting while in our room. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. We may not be in Basel again, but do not hesitate to recommend the ibis to fellow - Quiet hotel, really helpful reception staff. Excellent location for transport links. Breakfast is really good and worth paying extra for. Room was spotlessly clean. This hotel is superb value for money, especially given that Switzerland is generally very expensive.
