Very good location! From the station, just cross the bridge and walk along the river. The room was very clean and big. Plenty of space for us with 2 big baggages. (We booked double room). We read from the review that it might be noisy because of the pub downstairs but we couldn't hear anything!! It was very quiet. (We got the room on 3rd floor). Reasonable price for Luzern. The view of chapel bridge was magnificent. We grab some beers from the pub and chilled out on the room balcony. Will come . alle vurderinger
The location is amazing! A few meters from the train station and in
front of one of the main sights of the city. The hotel reception is
inside a pub, which we find very interesting and funny, was just down
the elevator we were ready to have some fun. The receptionist /
bartender was Portuguese, which made us very comfortable asking for
information about the city in our language. The room was small but
comfortable and clean.
Very central located, walking distance to iconic view points, old town
shopping area, boating. Excellent Capel Bridge, Train station, church
& mountain views. All are bonus at bugget hotel price. Rather
private if you know how to turn left & right inside the hotel when u
go out/in. Perfect based on the pricing!!.
Very friendly staff, very humourous as well. I like best the good location of my hotel. I was given a room on the fourth floor that has a really great scenic view facing the tower bridge and river. It feels very comfortable to not go out if it rains and just stay I. The room enjoying the scenery.
The room was not so spacious but it was very convenient and equipped with everything essential for the travellers (icl. tea/coffee maker). Very good location with fast access to the Railway Station an to all main attractions. Very attentive staff and friendly atmosphere.
The view of the Bridge was breathtaking and we were close to being able
to walk to many locations including the Dying Lion of Lucerne and the
ship and the Golden Pass to go to Mt. Pilatus. Simple but comfortable
accommodations. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates.

You cannot get a better located hotel in Luzern. You walk out of the train station and you are looking at the hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are small but very, very clean and comfortable. Would absolutely stay here on my next visit.

Absolutely, location of the hotel which are relatively near the main
station, the nice view of river and famous bridge from the bedroom, is
the most advantage. Price is also reasonable in the expensive Luzern and
the staff is friendly.
The location was absolutely fantastic, very convenient, just meters away from the Chapel bridge. The room was small but clean and offered one of the best views in Luzern - the balcony overlooked Chapel Bridge and Lake Luzern.
Great location and superb view! 5 mins walk from the train station and our room has an awesome view of the Chapel Bridge. Provides water kettle, coffee and tea, etc. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others!.
Location is superb!!! Came out from Lucern station, walk cross the
bridge and the hotel is on the left hand side in front of the famous
wooden bridge!! Can see the wooden bridge and the lake and mountains
from the room.

The staffs were really good.. The room had lake view and it was at the city center, 5 minutes from station. Great for young people, specially english speaking ones. There is a bar downstairs for some beers :-).
This Hotel is so comfortable, we felt at home immediately.

The hotel overlooks the water and famous bridge. It gives views of the
mountains as well. The beds are really really comfortable. We really
enjoyed the room and our stay in Lucerne.
Location was dead on. Railway station and bus station is a 5 min walk. We took the bus to mount pilatus. Castle is right outside and small restaurants cafes right along the street.
We liked everything. This is the best reasonably-priced hotel in Lucerne. We had room 404. Can't be beat for view, cleanliness or comfort. Good food in restaurant but a bit pricey.

I had a small single room, but with a balcony with chairs/table, overlooking the famous wooden bridge. Staff are very friendly. A good pub.

- Beds are far too soft.
Smoking and noise of people but acceptable at the higher floor. (Early
booking is useful for the better chance of extra requests).
Since it is a pub & bar, there is usually no one at the hotel reception. However, you can approach staff at the pub and they are very helpful. Too many doors and signs on each level, making it feel like going through a maze to get to your hotel room. But after a while, you get used to it and can orientate yourselves around.
Sometimes people smoke outside the pub downstairs and the smell gets
into the room!! Staffs are busy and always in a rush between doing hotel
jobs and pubs jobs so dont expect much help/info from them.
You could hear noise from the neighboring rooms which is okay for young people. Also the first day, did not find toilet soap.. may be just a rare thing.. No phone in the room.. No room service.. I would appreciate if they put a mini refrigerator in the room with some water and basic stuffs.

Expensive by general standards but Switzerland is expensive generally. The lift is very small and the odd hallways may give a poor impression but the room was great.

The hotel has free wifi but it goes in and out. Our best connection was
in the bathroom.
You have to check-in at the pub. This wasn't a problem for check-in but if I had a lot of questions I would feel hesitant to ask during a busy time.
Breakfast is served in a neighboring hotel and is quite expensive for what you get. I'd probably go out next time.
No AC! And it is very loud at night because of the pub and because of no AC we had to open up the windows and the noise definitely kept me up.
No criticsm of this hotel at all.
Check in at the pub bar was awkward. To use the free wifi you have to
get a text message to your phone with the code. Our phones did not have
service so we could not get internet. I can't beleive we are the
only people without phone service to visit, but they acted like we were.
After several complaints, a waitress in the pub was finally nice enough
to have a code texted to her phone for us. Thanks Hannah!!.

Hotel is above a pub and a bit noisy if you open the window in summer. You may want to avoid rooms on the first floor.
We were right above the pub, so even though the sound insulation is
pretty good, we could still hear the pub a bit. This is a no-frills
hotel with no staff, no breakfast and nobody to seek advice from unless
you go down into the pub - not a problem or complaint, but something to
note in the review.
I felt that the price was slightly too high considering no breakfast was offered.
Lack of ac! I think in the summer it would be very, very hot. My room
was on the first floor ... river view ... but very noisy with people
sitting out front under window. I think a higher floor would be ideal.
Price of the meal in the pub was I thought fair steep but most things in Switzerland are.
This is a funny hotel I have ever seen. It has Pub in Ground Floor. We have to check-in the pub. Then they will take hotel charges at the begining and gives u the key. The hotel chance can be though pub or though back lane. No break fast. When u check-out in the morning before 11 am, no one will be there in the pub. You have to leave the keys at some place. The passages from room to Bar or back lane are very narrow...
Would need climatisation for the summer time and/or a consequent closing of shutters as room is exposed to sunshine nearly all day long. The nightlife in summer in Luzern does not stop and with an open window impossible to sleep. With a closed window as well ....
Nothing to complain about; Pickwick was a great choice for the traveller on a budget!.
The hotel does not have its own parking and we have to find a public parking space nearby by ourselves. However, it's only a small problem.
It was quite loud, as my room was on the first floor, right above the pub. The noise disturbed me... Next time I'll request a room in upper floors.
