  It was a fantastic stay with this Hostel..clean.. lovely food.. quit with excellent scenery out side and great atmosphere inside... The staff at the reception were very helpful and put up well with a panicked traveler. The babbling brook right outside is a very nice touch. Breakfast is good. Nice bread, nice cheeses, yogurt, cereals, coffee is gratis in the morning. Overall, it's a very nice hostel though only a hostel which are generally only as good as the guests who are present.

The hotel provides free a travel pass which can be used on the first class public transport system - and the airport bus. - Free transport tickets for use on trams and buses. Free soft drinks. The location was great. The shower was amazing and loved the robe and slippers.

  Beliggenheten var super. Så fredelig, selv om det var midt i byen. - Full marks for this one. It's not a five-star hotel but it doesn't need to be. Location = perfect (two peaceful blocks out the backdoor of the SSB), there's an excellent COOP supermarket right next to the back exit of the SSB. Cleanliness = perfect (What you'd expect in Swit... hva folk sier » zerland). Value for the money = perfect (considering you're in Switzerland. Staff = excellent (I had read that reception was closed in the middle of the day (and it was); however, I was able to leave my baggage there). - I recieved confirmation from letsbookhotel.com and the YMCA Hostel, Basel, each with different prices - 92 CHF and 99 CHF respectively. I paid the higher price, but difference was small so it didn't matter much. Also, clearer directions to the hotel are needed on your web site - I would have liked turn-by-turn directions from the station. I wandered for 25 minutes before I finally found it..

  We were a family of 4 that stayed in the studio apartment. 1. Very easy to find, a 6 minute walk from Basel SBB train station. 2. Big room, big bathroom, loads of space, well equipped kitchen, nice balcony with a small table. 3. A nice big Co-op supermarket nearby. 4. Great value breakfast at CHF 5 (£3.5) per person 5. All in all, considering the price we paid, the - Space!!!! Loved the large room. Windows and balcony let in lots of light. Good sized bathroom. Easy to find. Lovely staff. Nice dining and kitchen area in hostel side-although we didnt use this it looked new and clean. Good fridge in our room.

  Very comfortable apartment room, great for travelling with young children. Also great location close to everything. - Staff was pretty kind and helpful. Hotel itself has very good (central)location, parking facility under the hotel was a big advantage atarrival and departure, but also if you go there by car. Kitchenette waswell equipped.
