Booked a single room, got a huge double one. Checked in earlier than I expected.
Excellent breakfast.
The location, while not excellent, is very good - the bus/tram station is right in front of the hotel, with a tram ride to the center taking 7 minutes. I had no trouble getting there even late in the evening.

The hotel is very quaint and is located perfectly near main train station and old city. If you are looking for a conventional hotel and all it's amenities then Helvetia not for you. This is a boutique hotel and our room was the apartment, was great, and spacious. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant there is excellent

This is a wonderful hotel. Our room was spacious and clean and filled with light. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. The rooms in the Alexander had been done to a very good standard for a small hotel. The breakfast room was small but very clean, the food was lovely with lots of selection and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was excellent for a the major sites of the city and was right in the heart of a lively area with numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. It was also only a ten minute walk from the station and transportation links. Overall i would definitely recommend this hote
