  Consists of several apartments with shared bathroom & kitchen. The room I was moved to was excellent value for money. All round very clean, quiet (for city) and friendly staff. The area may seem seedy, but the city centre, where hotels cost double, is no better. I also liked the fact that our host sat down with us to open up and explain us things about the city. Finally, i LOVED the neighborhood, as its one of the only ones in zurich which i think still has character and at the same time is affordable. Good for travellers with a smaller budget who want to be in a vibrant neighborhood with bars, restaurants, and nice old school architecture

The location, while not excellent, is very good - the bus/tram station is right in front of the hotel, with a tram ride to the center taking 7 minutes. I had no trouble getting there even late in the evening.   A couple of days before arrival I contacted the hotel by email for information, which I received by return email. On check-in date, I arrived early, 9h00 am, but was checked-in immediately. The employee provided some folders of the city, and was very helpful. The room was perfect, with a nice view to the polybahn. THANK YOU hotel staff. - The closeness to the railwaystation and the old town is nr 1. Rooms ok but decoration a bit worn. Bathroom very clean. Breakfast (at extra cost) quite adequate. Nice and comfy Weinstube on the ground floor (closed on Sundays) with typical food.

  The staff were very accommodating! They informed us upon arrival that because we had a child, we should have reserved a private room. Since there private rooms were full, they allowed us to stay in a 4 person room without roommates. They were very kind and helpful. The facilities are very clean and well kept. There is a park behind the hostel. It - Every bed in 4-bed shared room had a charging point with reading light. Breakfast buffee was good: cereals, müsli, fruit salad, yoghurt, milk, orange juice, different breads, ham, cervelat, three different kinds of cheese, butter, jam, honey, chocolate spread, tea, coffee and cacao powder :)
