  I really enjoyed our stay at Besso and intend to stay there again. The staff is really friendly. The hotel is clean and near to the station. I had my dogs with me and it was a pleasant stay for all of us - The friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help. The small circulating fan in the room was also helpful.   We very much enjoyed our six nights at the Art Hotel Stella in Lugano. It is an easy 5 minute walk from the Lugano train station, which is on a hill above the central old town district and Lake Lugano. A ten minute walk leads to the Parco Del Tassino with great views of the lake and the mountains that ring it. The hotel was very comfortable. Breakfast consisted of excellent coffee, freshly baked bread, and a reas - Small hotel with very good service and nice rooms. Central location near the railwaystation, but without disturbing noice.   We'd liked a lot the environment of the hotel/hostel, with the nice green area all around and a great breakfast. I have booked a room for two on the new area, which is really nice, new and cosy; and another bed only on the common area. On arrival they nicely suggested an extra bed on the room, which I accepted after checking the space (only a litt... hva folk sier » le more expensive than the shared-room bed, but staying at the same room, with shower facilities). Breakfast is nice, although we have to pay extra. S - The old hotel was charming and picturesque. Beautiful grounds. We booked there at the beginning and end of our trip. Our second stay we were moved to the newer Park Continental hotel, which was newer and quite elegant. They also have an annex, which is not as nice, and we were moved there as the Montarina was full. The room was smaller with no frills, a definite downgrade. Still, the location is good, the staff very accomodating, and the value for the area is very good.

  It was my second stay at the Splendid Royal in the last two months and it definitely is the best hotel in Lugano.Their restaurant is the best in town and the staff is very profesional.I really enjoyed my stay there. - Everything! Great staff, friendly and professional. Rooms are perfect, with great view. We'll go back there for sure!
