  We loved the hospitality of the host Estelle and her husband Joachim. They made us feel right at home and treated us like their own family. We met their son Isaac and he was as helpful and as charming too! We had an upstairs bedroom which was well looked after with a balcony and the view and the weather was very kind to us. There was such a great q - If you're seeking a get-away that's peaceful and a pure delight we can highly recommend the Sao Hotel. The blend of the 300 year old structure with modern architecture and stunning interior design make this small hotel a real gem. Add to that the delightful hospitality of the hosts and well-prepared, beautifully served food, and you have a winner well worth the journey!

  The place, the facilities and the owners are wonderful. You can relax at the balconies or in the living room and, at the same time, enjoy excursions and visits to the villages or mountains around. It's a perfect place but the best is that you feel really welcomed by Cristina and Marco. Good breakfast and dinner was good at the hotel and saved us driving out. 16 euros for dinner and 8 for wine. A beautiful location and very good facilities. Great beds, large shared balcony.   The view we had from our room was beautiful, the nice breakfast and the cute building. Blanca was always helping us and doing her best. We were very lucky with the weather, we had a big snow storm that became the little Village all white. Amazing.

  The hotel and village are very picturesque. They are perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay. The rooms were very attractive and comfortable. The food in the hotel's restaurant was very good. If you are from North America, don't let the mountain road to Estamariu scare you. It is a little narrow, but at a reasonable speed, is quite safe.
