  Location, as we had a rented car and we could travel everywhere by car, but I saw a lot of restaurant nearby anyway. The view is fantastic, the sound of the waves too, 10 out of 10 for the spectacular view. The furniture is old but still fulfilling the requirements, everything worked. Apartments with basically but sufficiently equipped kitchen,everyday cleaning. The aparthotel has its own carpark (car is recommended as the hotel is not in the centre, approx. 15 min. walk but a few shops and a supermarket nearby). Good starting point for travelling all around the island.

  The hotel was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the (free!) wellness, which was just wonderful. The breakfast/dinner buffet was great, with plenty of choice available, and two live cooking stations. The staff was friendly, except for one grumpy man with glasses behind the reception. Hotel Escorial will be our first choice for future trips to Gran Canaria, and we'll defin - The Restaurant and Bar staff are particularly friendly and genuine. This hotel also has an excellent roof terrace with a Jacuzzi and a wellness centre with a 'dead sea' pool, great for floating about in.
