Very easy to find and as you would expect with a motel, reception was quick and easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially with regards maps, buses, taxis to the centre. The reception is open 24 hours a day. The Motel area is close to the entrance and tucked away to the side - with plenty of free parking. There are also areas for caravans, camper vans, camping etc., set amidst trees and shrubbery. The site was quiet and well tended. There is an onsite Bar/Cafeteria which served b.
alle vurderinger » The motel is very close to the bus station and we liked that we could easily walk to and from there, on our arrival and departure. The staff was friendly and helpful in our getting oriented to the location. We walked just about everywhere and found the shopping we needed to do very close by. Our room was spacious, lots of hot water and the beds comfortable. Being able to do laundry was a real bonus. We will recommend this motel to anyone who plans to visit Granada, it's great value for the. Great location if you arrive with a car. Easy to find, sufficient easy parking. Located very close to bus station, for 1.20 Euros/person to the centre of Granada in a few minutes, every 10 minutes. Very friendly , helpful staff in reception (English speaking). Restaurant on site with friendly Spanish speaking staff (free tapas with every drink in the evening). Breakfast basic but adequate and very cheap. Room very comfortable. Would stay there again with pleasure. We only stayed one night as we were on our way to Nerja. It was really good value and we would stay again, perhaps for longer next time. The restaurant on site was good and we had a lovely meal at night, staff were very helpful. We had only booked a double room but when we arrived it was a surprise as it was a small appartment with a kitchen.Parking was a big bonus as Granada is a nightmare to drive round!!. We loved this place. It's our new favourite budget place to stay in Granada. The location is great easy to get to whether you're coming into Grranada by bus or by car (local buses are very close). We stayed in a room but camping facilities also looked good. There is a large pool and a convienient bar and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Stores nearby also very useful. The Sierra Nevada Motel is unique: a large green block of land near-ish the centre of Granada. It isn't quaint or int he city centre - but it has ample car parking (very problematic in Granada), has tennis court & swimming pool, and is on the bus route to the centre (40 mins walk) and the Alhambra. Short walk from inter-city bus station Much used by motorhome and tent campers. We liked location - few minutes walk from the bus station. Easy to get to the centre - 15 minutes drive, the hotel staff will certanly explain. The room was clean, quiet, nice, bu the smell, when we entered, was not very good. There is a big supermarket Alcampo in 10 minutes walk from the hotel! Fridge in the room was also nice. Friendly english-speaking staff. Great staff. Moved one of the beds for us in 2 minutes - no waiting for housekeeping. Offered to store out luggage instead of leaving it in the car while we went visiting the city. Right next to the bus station. Accommodation is basic but clean and good value for money. Nice tapas in the bar and a good restaurant. Will go back for sure. Lots of good shoe shops. The service in the reception was perfect! very friendly people. the appartment was old but very clean, the terrace was so beautifull with wine grapes and nice funiture out side. the cleaning staff was very friendly super pool, clean and fresh water! the big super markets just around the corner where you geht everthing very cheap and good quality. Excellent value for money For 35 euros a night, we got a spacious room with double bed, separate living area, TV, ensuite AND kitchen with stove and fridge...all a backpacker could require! There is a lively and reasonably priced cafe on site, table tennis etc. The location of the motel was fantastic, 100m away from the bus stop costing 1.20 euros to town. Room was lovely, clean and warm as the weather was pretty atrocious when we visited. Staff very helpful. On- site facilities - bar/café, restaurant, swimming pool, padel courts, parking (free). Very friendly staff, multi-lingual, friendly reception. Provided a kettle when asked and gave us two couples adjoining suites with a connecting door. All for £30 per night per couple! We had the car,so we looked for a hotel not in the center.this hotel is just out of the center but close to the bus station of the east of Granada so it was well served by buses (10 minutes to the center) The staff is helpfull It is very cheap and the rooms are very big. So long as you accept the trade-off between parking (which it has) and proximity to historic centre (which isn't too bad but isn't great), there are no downsides. More a collection of buildings on a large campus than a conventional hotel. The swimming pool wasn't working in September, we were dissapointed. It was written on the web-site that breakfasts cost 4,5 EUR, but in fact you may choose from a-la carte menu of the bar - toast, tea/coffee, croissaints. And, as we could understand - nothing more. And we preffered to buy products in the supermarket. nothing. the restaurant was not good, on friendly staff, durty floors, dont eat the tapas they serve fore free... horrible food and very expencive better go out side the complex for dinner or drinks. The only downside was the noise transfer between rooms. We could hear next door's quiet conversations on the phone, use of toilet, bath/shower, etc. terrible views from windows... but we did not book rooms for the view. WiFi was free, but rather intermittent. Swimming pool still not filled (20 May), but temperature was only 6 degrees at night and 15 by day, so I did not want to swim anyway. Nothing in particular. Sound between rooms could be a little loud, but not a major problem. The bar area is beautiful but we have not satisfied with the lunch. Don't eat there. No free maps of city, but no big problem. A bit cold during the night: the heating was on, but there was just one blanket on the bed and it was freezing outside (but the winter had just come and I think they still hadn't had the time to change the blankets). In Granada you trade proximity to historic centre for parking. The Motel gives you parking but at the cost of being a 30 min walk from centre (and further from the Alhambra). But the bus station is close so lots of routes pass the front door. It was a shame the swimming pool was out of action when daytime temperature were up to 34 degrees. A/C wasn't working - fortunately the weather wasn't hot. Air conditioner didn't work and nobody came to repair it. Was disappointed that the pool was not in use. Also I think that it is time to change the locking more modern. There were video survellance system but I have no idea if it was in use or not!. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together. Water pressure in the shower not great. everything in the appartment was still working, but some small reparations would be good... In the one of the rooms we found bedbugs.. :(. We really struggled to locate the place, which according to reception, was a common problem for visitors. From a housekeeping & relaxation point of view, swimming pool which is in full view of restaurant terrace, was not in use, little bit of water that was in there, was grass green, which was a great pity. We visited end May, which was going into their summer season. Tables on terrace area of restaurant could have been cleaner. Far from historical center. No issues. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing, all ok. Wifi. Staff kept saying oh! Its going to be fixed, technician will be here tomorrow. Then nextday yes it has been fixed! Since we lived 2 days we could see that was untrue. Wifi will only work if you stand/ sit beside reception room. Expensive map in Spanish only, freely available from tourist information. Cockroaches every night Poor Internet reception. No uk tv. The room is a little dark. The meal at the hotel's restaurant was the most expensive in our jurney. We didn't know that the vat wasn't included! The walls are very thin, so we could hear ours noisy neighbours. The air con didn't work. We had the luck that the weather wasn't so hot. Decor is outdated but not too tacky, although we did find a cockroach on our arrival and 2 more the morning after... But thats Spain for you. Rooms poorly furnished. Nightly Cockroach visitations. Noisy area. A/C old but usable. Poor door fit allowing light and bugs easy access. The bed was far too hard to be comfortable and the room was a bit dark and without character. A little hard to find, off the beaten path. Not near any attractions. Difficult to find room and become aquainted with the room totally on your own. swimming pool not open in May. The room was old styled with stone floors, not well heated, especially the bathroom and kitchen was freezing in december. The kitchen was awful, poor equipment; no oven, no regular stove (only an electric one-folded stove), no coffee machine or similar.
