It was located relatively close to the bus station, not quite as close as described but still walking distance. The owner was very helpful in telling us places to eat and things to see, and offered to book a trip or tour to Morocco; however when we arrived we were exhausted, weak, and dripping sweat, and we just wanted to see the room. He persisted even after we told him we had everything planned. Very helpful which is why this is under positives, but we didn't appreciate it as much as we shoul.
alle vurderinger » The staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful - Jose and Rosa went out of their way to try describe all the things to do in the area as well as recommend local restaurants, etc. Rosa speaks English and Jose speaks German in addition to Spanish. We felt like we were staying with friends. There is a small kitchen available as well as a washing machine. Located near the port, train and bus stations as well as close to a lovely town square we found the location ideal. It was a great base for driving. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Normally, I just want to get my hands on room keys asap - but in fairness, I have to commend the effort that was made to help me. As a consequence, I used that info to take a couple of side trips to Tarifa & La Linea/Gibraltar. The room was basic - but that was exactly what I was looking for - it was spotlessly clean - and relative to the cost, was great value for money. Also got a great recommendation for somewhere to eat - one of the best places. The staff here were extremely friendly! We arrived very late at night having not organised a late checkin prior and when we got there we were greeted with a big smile and felt very happy to finally reach our destination! For the price this was good value for money the shower and bathroom were quite modern and clean and the room had a fan and fresh air from the balcony so the lack of air con really didn't bother us, especially having just come from morocco! I would stay there again and recommen. Rose and Jose are lovely people who point out all you can do in the area on a map they give you. It is a short bus ride to the rock of Gibraltar,a walk to the ferry to Tangier and several blocks to the bus station At Hotel Octavius.Beautiful roomy rooms, a common kitchen for your use,large TV with many channels and comfy bed. Great price at 18Euros per night and in safe area. Lovely reasonable restaurants across street n around the corner. Just a five-minute walk from the old town where all the tapas action is, I really liked that I got a private bedroom for the price I usually pay for a shared hostel dorm room. The owner was really friendly and provided a helpful map of the area; the room was spacious and comfortable; and the bathroom was clean/fresh and felt new. It’s a five minute walk from the train and bus station, and probably ten from the ferry. - Very friendly people who own the place. It was a great pleasure to meet them and spend some time in the hostel. - Localization was perfect to me (centre of the town). Not far (by car) from the great beach in Tarifa or awesome Gibraltar. 10 minutes walk from the hostel and you are on the ferry to Africa. Also Algeciras happened to be a great atmosphere city. - Very decent price - All in all highly recommended!. I stayed at Hospedaje Lisboa for one night on a weekend, the lady at the reception was very nice and helpful, the room looked fairly clean, the shower had hot water and clean towels, the room is simple but comfortable,& while the TV doesn't work, there is free WI-FI... Rosa explained all about ferries to Morocco and Algeciras. Place is nice and clean with an upper terrace. I highly reccomend you stay here. Genuinely friendly and hospitable. I particularly like their personal acknowledgement of booking. Since they are near the ferry port and most foreign guests are likely to be visitors to Morocco, I think it would help if they asked such guests whether they need a visa form - even provide them with one!. Rosa emailed me a street map in advance with marked route from bus station to hotel. Her brother at reception provided a map and detail information about the city and the region. A simple kitchen on roof level can be used for making a tea, coffee and even cooking. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with directions and a map. Bus driver from Tarifa cranky but warm staff at Lisboa made me feel welcome in SPain. The interior design was a little sterile, just plain white walls, but still a great place to stay at!. A bit cool in room at night but slept well under covers. In the studio there're only two small windows, one in the bathroom, another is near to it. I would definitely prefer more light in the room - we had to switch on the light always. The walls are thin. Could be a problem. I forgot to ask for an extra blanket so I was a little chilly. Sound insulation could have been better. nothing. No elevator, and the wifi wasn't working. Too close to street, a little bit noisy. The village itself was like deserted, not much to see or to do. Nothing.
