  We stayed in Salamanca Monday-Wednesday in late October. The hotel is well situated about 5-10 minutes walk from the rail station and a few minutes walk from the old town centre. A little noisy as it is on a main road. Hotel is all chandeliers, marble and glitter, not trendy, but very comfortable. Lavish breakfasts, but we wouldn't recommend d... hva folk sier » inner (apart from the charming staff). - The hotel exceeded my expectations. Our room was spacious, cool and very comfortable. The decor was beautiful and so different from the usual bland style of many hotels I've stayed in. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was very impressive with a wide choice of fruit, cheese, meats, pastries etc. The hotel staff were also very pleasant and efficient.
