great location. a few meters from the seafront and a 10 minute drive from airport. spacious room. clean. very large bed. a large window on access to the balcony, with fantastic sea view. staff very friendly and professional. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant of the hotel. excellent breakfast room- service. Convenient parking. Locality - close to beach, Aquarium, Boardwalk and short drive to Walmer and harbour. Spacious room. Comfortable bed.
alle vurderinger » the staff was great, we requested other check in and out times and were granted, they understood our situation and accommodated us. we were free no one disturbed us. great location with splendid sea view. The staff was very friendly and the accommodation was pleasing. The beds are confortable and the price quite reasonable. Really good location, there are good restaurants just down the corner and the Boardwalk is about a 10min walk away. The people made the trip and the stay even better they went out of the way to help when it was needed. Clean and comfortable. Blackbeards is a great place to eat. Good value for money,would definitly stay there again. The location of the hotel, with a stinning sea view. Friendliness of the staff as well as the food. Chapman is à good hotel in à Nice city. Nice view. we stayed there one night, kind of a stopover between plettenberg bay and the flight to johannesburg, so kind say much. My impressions: staff very nice and helpful, the room was clean (and very big). The location was ok, couple of nice restaurants very close, although i guess not in the city center... Beautiful breathtaking view of the Bay. Quant little hotel with a lot to go for it. Owner very friendly and attentive.Could see that it reflects a charm of yesteryear. The booking is fully charged upon reservation and does not obbey to the special conditions that the hotel advertises. Some small problems overlooked by staff.Half of a toilet roll on holder and no new roll in room,Coffee tea and creamer but no sugar in our room,tea creamer and sugar but no coffee in my friends room(minor problems)aircon in friens room not working,dstv not working in either rooms. That it's non self-catering. The wooden see through staircases and walk ways. I'm scared of heights and therefore would prefer a solid block of something to walk on:). I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a long couch in the room to relax on. Furniture needs a little upgrading. Dstv not working properly Bigger glasses for water. our view although booked as a ocean view, was more of view of the port. The furniture looked a bit old, and i would recommend renewal. need more room comforts- ie hair drier, proper table for tea/coffee/kettle.Rooms need TLC, ie shower head in our room missing. The welcome could have been warmer, and no-one advised me of any of the facilities on offer. In the room, the TV and it's operation is not ideal..... There was nothing in the room to tell you anything about the hotel. No instructions as to what it had to offer, room service, food, the restraurant, etc., The tv was old and very limited dstv options. Our bags were supposed to be in our room when we returned late in the afternoon and they werent. It was a bit noisy. Guests were arguing loudly outside at 2 am and either staff or guests were taking loudly and slamming doors at about 6 am. The rooms are tiled which makes the noise worth. The water pressure was very low for shower as well as basin taps. Staff, as i had left my key at reception for my room to be cleaned and nothing was done. The TV did not work properly. I requested oats for breakfast but I was told that it was not on the menu. I just feel that according to the advert on the net it is not what it advertises to be. I pay double for my one night stay over, explained that i was still in Queenstown on the 11 10 2013, But were told the conformation was send try by you and that is it. Staff could me more attentive (asked for a travellers plug three times and still did not get it) no contact from the staff person to explain why. dirty windows, palm in front of view, service in restaurant. confusion over whether we could have breakfast or not. the restaurant is absolutely useless. No hairdryers in the room, I had to get one from reception. No TV remote in the room, had to pay a deposit for the use of one - Never seen that anywhere in the world or locally that I have travelled!! No shampoo, body wash or cream available for the bath?. The old smell of the room. Poor paint work in the bathroom. Old furniture pieces. General lack of warmth in the room. No bedside rug. The whole room fell below normal standards of rooms in the same price range in PE. bathroom need tobe updated. Rooms need to be painted. Doors chipped and scuffed. Shower needed a new shower head, water came spraying out everywhere. Water pressure disappeared completely when shower in neighbouring room was turned on. Furniture was old in the rooms and the floor was dusty under the bed. Hotel was very noisy.
