  It was a very pleasant stay at friends hostel. The one down side was that we had to move rooms after the first night due to noise on the bottom floor. Room was close to the social room and window nearest the hostel entrance. We stayed for 4 nights. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room on an upper floor. The hostel is in a perfect location of St. Petersburg, everything you need is within walking distance and a metro st - Location: in the very centre, but inside a quiet yard, not in the first line of houses. Standing at the gates you can see both your hotel and the Kazansky cathedral - one of the most beatiful in the city. You don't need to use transport at all, unless going to suburbs. Just 2 steps from Nevsky prosp. and 2 metro stations (Nevsky Prospect+Gostiny Dvor, lines ).
