Vorontsovskiy hotel is certainly one of the best choices price/quality in such an expensive city as Moscow. It is a small cosy, up to date hotel, with a clean design room and a good shower, less then 10 minutes walking from the nearest metro station, closest to the city center. Free internet, easy parking and breakfast included. But staff is realy the best at Vorontsovskiy hotel, friendly, speaking English ( not very useful in Moscow hotels ) and always helpfull in the organization of our own t.
alle vurderinger » The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The heating was just right (not too cold, not too hot). The hotel is near a metro line (10 min walk), near a super market, and the breakfast was decent and varied, although a bit small. Overall value for money is excellent for Moscow standards given the over-expensive rates for poor facilities. One staff member speaks basic English and you can communicate with some effort. Overall I would recommend it to foreigners travelling to Moscow, if they are abl. Everything is great in this hotel, considered its low price. Rooms are very clean and comfortable (albeit small), the breakfast is copious and the staff is very nice and friendly. Location : walking distance to Paveletski Station and Taganski metro station, so it is a nice place to explore Moscow. As there is no elevator, not recommended if you have trouble with the stairs. We also recommend the restaurant CityPizza on the nearby street...lots of Zakouskis and nice dishes at reasonable price. The hotel is good for staying for a few days for a business trip or so. It's clean, all the devices work well, the bathroom is big, No one drop of water could came out of the shower cabin which happens really seldom in 3-star hotels... The breakfast is kind of poor but still enough to start the day. The location is good: 10 minutes walk to the Taganskaya subway station, relatively close to the city center, but the place is quiet enough. Seems like really a good choice for this price!. Vorontsovskiy is a modest hotel: the rooms are not very big and the breakfast is limited. Within this constrains, Vorontsovskiy is otherwise very good: rooms are nicely renovated, it is quiet, stuff is helpful, and breakfast has warm dishes. The breakfast changes, but usually includes porridge, eggs, and Russian-style pancakes. The hotel is in 4-5 minute walk from Proletarskaya metro station. The hotel is very clean and everything works perfectly. Breakfast is good. The staff is friendly. It is a good protection against external noise. No noise of the hotel. Very quiet. Furniture new and beautifully designed. Bathroom perfectly. I recommend to everyone. Nearby are two shops, one for 24 hours and is well stocked (across the boulevard). Room for luggage is very useful. The hotel is brand new, stylishly and expensively decorated. The bed was big with good quality bedding. The bathroom is just beautiful though there are a couple of treacherous thresholds. Air conditioning was working as it should. Windows are soundproof. All and all it's a comfortable place to stay. Brakfast is not at the same level of the service, in a small room for the movement and with large furniture that makes dificult the movement. No fruit and poor unikind industrial bread, but we have a breakfast in the morning in the hotel. Too much time to replace goods. The staff in the breakfast was a bit unhelpful, as the food/coffee was not refilled regularly. The breakfast room had a tv that played Russian news, which is kind of annoying in the morning. No elevator, so expect to carry your suitcase 1-2 floors upstairs. Nothing!. At the metro station Proletarskaja need the exits from the underground passageways better spot where the hotel is located. It is harder to find without checking on satellite maps of the city. In this new hotel there is no ramp for suitcases, there is no lift and there is no one to take your suitcase to a storage room or to an upstairs room. Do it yourself. The iron you receive upon request is a ridiculously small travel version. Why? Is it a travelling hotel? Any decent iron would cost cheaper than one square foot of their beautiful tiling in the bathroom. The white bread for toasts is very poor quality. All of these are small things of course. Poor decoration materials in public areas. Underground stations in this area are very close to the surface, so you can feel the groundshake and hear noice. Very close to the big road. The neighborhood wasn't particularly exciting, but it was very convenient (close to 24 hour atms, grocery stores, some restaurants). We spent our time in the city center and only came back to the hotel area for sleep. Loud tv during breakfast time, distracted from a talk with my colleague. Nothing. The room was too hot and you cannot adjust the temperature yourself. Breakfast was not very good but it may be the standard in Moscow. Nothing. Everything was great. No air condition would imply to open the windows, but there is a big road just behind so you should be ok with traffic noise. The breakfast is organized inconvenient (not enough space for all the guests). Breakfast can have more options. Electronic safe is not working and it is very small. - I have not see where is the spa. Staff don't speak English quiet at all. My room was under the light sign of the hotel so we couldn't have dark during the night!!! Room was noisy because of the air conditioning system. Breakfast is quiet poor. I had quite noisy ventilation in my room which I couldn't switch off. The breakfast start at 8 am - OK if you are on a leisure trip, but tool late if you are doing business. Didn't have a room safe as advertised. Rooms far too warm with little or no temperature control in room. Not up to 3* standard in my opinion mainly due to lack of facilities. There is no Bar or Restaurant in hotel, nor mini bar in the rooms. A/C is very loud and unefective. One day room was not cleaned. I booked this hotel because they had pictures of spa and pool, the fact is it is some Spa (Bana) next to hotel and not part of it. It wasn t working at all during eastern holidays even if you want pay 20-30 eur to enter. staff hardly speak eng. Room we got was nice but very, very small. Breakfast is the same every day although it is good.I could not belive that they could not bring some eastern eggs for that day. Not creative at all. No air conditioning working. Water pouring out of air conditioner on to electrical items. Staff not concerned about this and just brought a plastic pot to catch the water. Booked a double bed but got two single beds. One receptionist understood English but not sufficently. There was a big misunderstanding that lead to very awkward situation invloving police and they kept me awake til 6am.
