The room opened directly onto the canal side and I could sit outside the room by the Nieuwegracht [new canal] on a foldup chair and cushion in the peace and quiet and so was a complete novelty experience. The room was large and very comfortable with a good bathroom - breakfast was at the Court Hotel in the next street which was not a problem. The location very near the Dom and the busier Oudegracht [old canal] was very convenient.
