  Although in a small city 25km from Amsterdam, this was a remarkably quiet, peaceful place where we slept well even with the windows open all night to enjoy the summer breezes. The building was completely rebuilt in 2011 and everything is clean and modern. The bed and shower were both above average. We saw two canoes that appear - The hospitality offered at Hotel Hengelsport was exceptional. I asked for an iron box to press my cloths, and I was given an iron box and ironing table to be kept in the room for my entire stay! Overall, very friendly and helpful staff. Made me feel at home. Restaurant is also really nice. Chef made us some really tasty dishes. They remembered that I am vegetarian and helped me with the vegetarian items in the menu.
