  A very nice place to stay with friendly and especially helpful staff. Breakfast is good, the place is spotless, and it is to very close to the sights, and the train station. Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet. Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get. In the summer, this boat cruises the waterways of France. As long as you expect cramped, boat cabin accommodations and a staff of one, it's fine.

  It was my first visit to Amsterdam. The boat is next to the centrall station (10 minutes walking) in a really quiet dock! We were living at 4:00 in the morning and they made us an early breakfast. - Very interesting as we'd never stayed on a boat only a big ship!   We stayed in the basement Studio flat which was excellent and suited us. The location of Kalkmarkt is very good next to a canal and only a short walk to restaurants, the City Center and Central railway station. The owners Veronika and Peter are very helpful and friendly and good communication when we made booking and with any queries we had. It s just about 10mins walking distance to the Amsterdam Central station which you can go everywhere from this station. And the house is very home feel with a kitchen. City people likes me enjoy a lot in this kind of town house. Besides, couple can enjoy simple cooking if you have been tired to eat outside during a long vacation. The flat is simple and clean as well. Absolutely recommended!

  The staff were very warm and welcoming. Within 15 minutes we felt like regulars at the pub. The location was excellent, very convenient. And it was much quieter than we were expecting. - Great location and a great staff-- people were very helpful andfriendly.
