  We stayed at a newly renovated room and the design and comfort was perfect, room was also very clean. - Very comfortable bed, very good breakfast, tea/coffee maker. In our room there was a bathroom with (dark) glass wall - so you can see what's happening inside from the room - you have to decide on your own whether it's a plus or not :)

  We stayed in one of the Penthouse rooms in the Grand Hotel Downtown with a shared roof terrace that offered spectacular views across Amsterdam. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities (often not provided in Hotels in Europe). The Hotel is very conveniently placed for exploring the city. We were keen to find a Hotel with secure, reasonably priced on-site parking and the Gr - The hotel itself is very new. Everything in the room was immaculate, and came with free coffee and tea. The bathroom was heated (a luxury in the winter!) The wifi was very fast, and useful. The building is very cool, and has many hip restaurants surrounding it. It´s location is perfect for those who don´t want to be in the busiest part of the city. It´s about a 10 minute walk to the very center, and a 25 minute walk to the train station. All the staff where great and I have never had a room in any hotel of any level where the maid folded clothes, put them away, put the cap back on my razor etc - The facilities provided were excellent. The hotel was close to the Venue RAI Conference centre. The staff were friendly and helpful.

  The hotel is brand new and was still being finished. The staff is young and friendly and were doing there best as all the kinks had not been striaghtened out, it opened a few days before we checked in. It is directly behind central station and next to the cruise port also its a 15 minute walk to the red light district. - This hotel was the best we stayed at in Europe. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was huge for Europe standards and because it is brand new, the facilities are to a very high standard, particularly given the price range. The rooms are soundproof and warm, and the bathrooms are really large. We stayed in a standard room and would definitely stay there if we visited Amsterdam again.

  Very easy to use hotel. Self serve check in when you get there (a bank of about five computers), so you aren't waiting for a person to take care of you. Someone is nearby for the technically challenged. The rooms are what I would call "pods". Small rooms with everything compact and easy to reach. The photos online tell the story. Very comfort... hva folk sier » able in every aspect. Temperature, tv, lighting, etc all controlled by the "mood pad" (remote). I was able to easily drop the temp a couple of degre - This is one of top three hotels I have ever stayed in (and there were some!), but I cannot remember the other two :). Giving this hotel a 10 would mean that the other few I rated as 10 should now be re-rated to 8. :) Everything was great. The technical stuff in the room, funny saying everywhere, some might find "self-check-in" a bother, but I liked a new experience and there was always extremely polite and friendly staff around to help. All in all - 7min walk from Amsterdam Zuid train station.
