  The location is great (in the old city). Very near to almost everything. The flat is very comfortable and affordable, especially for larger groups (We were 3 co-workers travelling to a conference). More than anything I have to note the staff, who made a huge effort to locate a Tiffany jewel that I forgot in the flat. The owner of the apartment Geert-Jan was very friendly and helped us everything we needed. They even tracked us down by phone to tell us that a museum we thought closed at 9 was to close at 7. The decor of the hotel is great and although like all canal side town houses the rooms are small, they were well laid out and of a high quality. Our room was pretty small, but to be expected from a city centre hotel, especially in Amsterdam, however it was immaculately presented, beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable we nearly didn't make it up in the morning. The staff were wonderful, and we will be going back.

  Hotel Pax is a cute, clean place to stay for a few nights, and the location is absolutely superb. It's right on a major street between Anne Frank House and Dam Square. Lots to see and do, all within walking distance. From Central Station, it was only 2 short tram stops, then a 4 minute walk at most. This hotel is perfect for the budget traveler lo - The hotel is exactly what is written in the ad. But you'll be surprised positively. It is an old building (like most part of houses there) with a big stair to enter. The owner is a very nice person and helped me with my baggage when I arrived. He also gave a lots of hints about the city and the touristic spots. Honestly, I was afraid of shared bathroom and shower, but they are individual e there aren't many rooms per floor, so every time I needed both were empty and I could use it. By the way,
