Stunning location and very clean. Excellent value and exactly what was needed on a short trip with a clean comfey base to drop the back pack. Def return on the next visit to Amsterdam. great location,5 min walk to the city centre and main attractions (coffee shops & Redlight area), value for money and gorgeous cat to welcome you to the hotel. The location was right outside the red light district so very central for Amsterdam. It was only about a 5 minute walk from Central Station with my luggage and easily accessible to various tram stops. The hotel was situated in front of a canal and very close to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and beautiful historical monuments. The bar downstairs has very reasonably priced drinks and free wi-fi is available downstairs at the bar. Also around a 5 minute walk or less to Dam Square. The room was ok bedding was clean i would defenatly stay again good value for money. Cheap and cheerful although a little basic. The location is great. I can't remember. location. This hotel is only commendable for travellers who don't expect high standards, but the staff is friendly and obliging. The room is extremely bare and the shower is shared and also extremely bare. The name is 'hotel' but it basically only serves as a hostel. The shared shower not nice at all. Like all Amsterdam hotels, the stairs are steep and narrow. I paid for the hotel when I made my booking months ago and they wanted my credit card to pay for it again when I arrived to check in, so I am not happy about this, I hope I get my money back for the second (or first) payment. The grumpy guy that didn't make me a hot chocolate. stairs. Staff are so blunt and difficult and the pillows are like sleeping on a bag of rolled up socks, every morning you wake up with a bad neck. Also they never come in to clean your room, which after eating Febo's, isn't great!. staff were rude, the dartboard was located behind several tables and almost impossible to play on. The room wasn't cleaned for 2 and a half days and there was no tv in the room. Room was too small. Enough room for one. Not even enough room to walk about. Décor was bad. Beds were cheap slide out ones. Overpriced. Paid far to much for this room. I will not use your service again. Unfriendly person at the front, we were double charged, tons of stairs, unsecured 'safe', door locks were questionable at best, shared bathrooms, dusty. there was no tv, the sink and tiles were cracked, no wardrode. this is basically a bare room not a hotel. The stairs to the room were very steep and the shared bathrooms were not very clean. everything. very loud neighbors toilet water running. I have stayed in some run down places and believe me I'm not a fussy person and I understand the meaning of "You get what you pay for" BUT this place is DIRTY STINKING STAFF JUST IGNORANT ITS A DUMP. The bar was the reception, you can't bring a friend back to your room if they aren't associated with the hotel, the staff were completely rude and seemed disinterested in their work. Didn't enjoy my stay and will definitely be going somewhere else next time!. The hotel is awful. Don´t go there. Awful. The staff are unpolite. They don't care about you. Only your money. No information about city. The hotel was terrible.
