My room on 1st floor (6) was airy, clean, bright and nicely-decorated. Good air conditioning, pleasant (if slightly cramped) bathroom and shower.
The building is well-maintained and characterful, with a very relaxed feel, and the staff are helpful and speak good English.

The staff were always extremely helpful with any questions I had. Most spoke French, Arabic, Spanish and English which makes it easy for international travelers.
The breakfast in the morning is a bit pricey but it's a great way to start your day if you're not in a rush. The patio where you eat is really nice in the mornings if the weather is good.
There's a rooftop terrace with seats where you can read or relax in the sun.

Mustafa at front desk was incredibly helpful overall, especially re: my
luggage which didn't arrive on my flight into Casblanca before we
took train to Tangier. He helped suggest where to buy some clothes,
helped with phone calls to the airlines and shared other tips to help.
The location made our daily walks to the Medina and other highlights
easy, and the room was very comfortable at a great price.

Our favourite hotel, revisiting after a break of approx. 12 years. It belongs to another age (a living museum). Has none of the modern expectations of lifts to the various floors, swimming pool, piped music etc. Belongs to its wonderful setting at the edge of the Tangier Medina with a wonderful view of the Bay of Tangier and the port. tell that previously the hotel was much grander, but it is still a
great place. The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful and
could speak many languages, and the breakfast was in a beautiful room
with an outstanding view overlooking the sea! I would definitely stay
here again.
