The garden of the Dar Maktoub is fantastic ! A serene oasis of green, beautiful plantings, wide variety of Palms, flowers, cactus and ferns. Very elegant and large pool space with lots of space to be private in. Main house lodge is well equipped, lovely architecture, very much enjoyed the lounge and fire place. A great base for Agadir. The hotel has a beautiful, very large swimming pool en neat relaxing furniture around it on which you can relax all day. Beds are huge and comfortable and rooms are spacious enough. We spent three days at the pool (after a week travelling around Marocco) and had no reason to leave the place. Loved it.

I totally agree with the person who's review is quoted here! This
place is magical. Unfortunately, Caroline, the proprietor, was away, but
her staff, Abdullah, Hadif ( the chef) and the others, were
unbelievable! They were friendly and helpful, without being hovering.
The food, was probably the best we had in Morocco. The setting was
glorious and restorative. The rooms were tasteful, comfortable, and
charming. Abdullah worked out for us to have a visit to a nearby kasbah
and the palmerie, which

The Proprietors are very kind, helpful, and are very happy to make your stay the best it can be. The staff very lovely. I gave the location only fair because of it's proximity to Agadir (about 15 minute drive) and I knew that ahead of time so that was fine, no bother. Great location overlooking the Kasbah, we had a nice view from our room. The place is set up like a traditional riad, with the rooms around a central living area. WiFi in the main room was good and it was nice to surf the internet in the "Berber living room." Breakfast overlooking the Kasbag with the sunrise was also a plus. Nice English-speaking

Very nice riad in a beautiful location, next to palm trees, where you can go for a walk. Riad beautiful, well equipped, staff very friendly, on arrival we immediately took away the luggage. Do Riad goes about 50 meters down the hill, parking on the road without any problems. Breakfast on the terrace, standard.

Staff was amazing. Met us at bus station upon arrival. They cooked amazing dinners each. Complimentary tea whenever we wanted. Helped arrange hiking guide for us. Drove us into town and waited while we ran errands. Drove us to bus station upon departure. And were generally very pleasant to hang out with.
