I loved Chez Talout... here I found an oasis of peace and calm and Soufiane, his wife and his family treated me like one of their own. The location is unbeatable.... at the highest point in the valley with the snowcapped Atlas mountains visible from your bedroom window. The staff helped me out with everything I needed, from food requests, to arranging tours and bus tickets to Marrakech, to seamless pickups, printing out my flight tickets. We stayed at Dar Qamar to break up a return trip to Marrakech from
Merzouga, and we wish we had more time to spend here. The hotel is
appears to be down some back street, but what a place it is. Behind the
walls is a beautiful pool area and gardens with peacocks. The lounge

The place is really amazing and beautiful while at first the surroundings and the last 1.5 km might not find your approval (see earlier comments) but this wasn't an issue for us and our stay was very peaceful. A beautiful well maintained garden is surrounding a nice pool area, the amazing patio is inviting to relax, to read, to have a drink.. During our stay the owners (French couple) were absent but the place was well run, good a friendly staff.

We had planned to stay for one day two nights but did extend because it was an awesome opportunity for a holiday from holidays. We stayed at one of the tents which means own terrace in front of the private pool. Big room, all facilities. And the food simply divine. Totally enjoyed it! -
