  First of all , I would like to make a special notice about Mohammed the manager. I had booked a 2 night stay at Merzouga camp and to my surprise I received an email from him informing me that due to the hot weather (June) it would be better if we stayed only for a day in the dunes and could spend the other day at his house in Hassi Labiad which is... hva folk sier » a small village at the gates of Sahara.I Always appreciate honest people and this was a hint of how nice our stay would be. After a 7 hour drive from - We enjoyed every last detail of our trip. Our guides were incredibly helpful, very kind and patient with our children. We arrived in the midst of a late night sand/rainstorm and yet Mohammed still came out to guide us back to our room. We were invited into their homes, fed like kings, catered too and truly felt not only at ease but also safe. We had been a bit worried traveling to Morocco with only woman and children, but the staff was very kind and we never felt a bit of unease while visiting
