  This is a recently constructed motor hotel.15 minute walk to the downtown(centro) rooms are kept spotless.Rooms are air conditioned.There is a busy street in front but at night with window closed and air on did not disturb me.To sum up,great value,attentive staff and safe,well monitored.In response to the no key given in a previous post..i did not... hva folk sier » find it an inconvenience.When you leave lock your door.Each time upon returning there was a staff member immediately there to open the door.Much bett - It was clean efficient and good for the one night. No key is given to the guest - they need to open the door for you every time, odd. Staff was great, helpful and patient with my lack of Spanish. Taxi was quick and efficient, staff called it for me.

  An excellent budget-friendly, no-frills, clean hotel located in old Puerta Vallarta, 4 blocks from the beach and Malacon board walk. The staff are wonderful, friendly, very helpful even if their english or your spanish are limited. Bus and taxi service are available right outside. Wi-Fi and bottled drinking water are included. It can be a bit nois... hva folk sier » y with some street traffic or early morning rooster crowing but remember, you are staying in a city, not at a secluded resort. There is no elevator so - We where at Belmar on vacation over x-mas 12/13. I was there With my 16 years old son. We where suposed to stay there for only one week, but cause of the location and the price, we decided to stay one and half week more. The stuff where very kinde and helpful all the time. We liked Belmar a lot. It was traffic right outside of the hotel so it was much noice outside. Over all.. we had a nice stay there.
