What a gem! Our stay at the Jade House was both comfortable and secure while we were in Mexico City. Our hosts were a wealth of information to our surroundings and also helped us with local transportation. We felt safe at this location and our belongings well taken care of when we were away. The small kitchen was perfect for quick breakfasts and light suppers. The Jade offered original Mexican architecture and the hospitality was warm and personalized. alle vurderinger »
We were glad to find Jade for our last 2 days in Mexico city. It is a
small guest house with only 2 rooms but full of charm and in a very
authentic neighbourhood. Metro is 20mns walk away (or a 1 Euro cab ride
when we felt lazy!) and direct line for the centro historico. The rooms
are small but the bed is very comfy and we loved the decoration style!
Hot water, a kitchen on the roof and very kind host. Excellent value, we
do warmly recommend!.
The room was cozy with fresh water every day. Although the hosts are
french, the place is definitely mexican. Virginie was very helpful with
suggestions and directions. We left our laundry to be done and when we
returned it was folded and stacked on our bed. (Thanks to Virginie's
teen-aged children...) Good water pressure in the shower and hot water.
Overall, a very pleasant stay.
This bed and breakfast is run by a French family in a 19th century
Spanish colonial house. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome
without being overbearing. The building is beautifully designed.
It's a tremendous value for the money.
A very nice place to stay in a beautiful old home. The room we stayed in is small, but pleasant. The neighborhood is charming and walkable. Good restaurants and taquerias in the area. Easy access to the airport and the metro.
Owner is friendly.
The owner is very friendly and offers good local advice, if you get to see her.
It took a little getting used to just having a curtain between the room
and the (private) bathroom.
I would like to see a guard rail in the third story, outdoor kitchen.
But that is all.
The room was very cold in winter (should be nice in summer though), poorly isolated and no heater available. The neighbourhood is not cosy at all, a bit of a walk to the metro, so nothing special locationwise.
