Luxfort118 is a recent development at Island Plaza providing spacious and comfortable living accommodation in apartments for either, a short or a longer stay. The décor is neutral and pleasant with wooden flooring and the air conditioning units ( 3 in our apartment ) worked a treat. The bedroom is quiet at night; the beds are comfortable ensuring a good sleep and the wardrobe cavernous. The kitchen (kitted with wide selections of quality appliances) / dinner / lounge is huge. It is most recommended for families and group travellers who plan to stay in Penang for a longer period, Everything you can expect in a brand new place. I prefer the shower instead of a bath tub like in most hotels. Everything is available. From basic kitchen utensils to washing machine n dryer. Down stairs is the cold storage and there's a food court just besides the building... Everything is there. Gurney drive is about 800 m from thi. Very well equip... with wifi, astro, washing machine, dry cloth machine, sofa, LCD TV, kitchen with all necessary utensil, microwave, refrigerator, dining table. We don't really cook there, as we are in the Island of food (Penang). We just did some like breakfast for the childrens. There is a swimming pool big enough to cool us down with great scenery... Tenant will be provide access card which only allows access to your own floor and the swimming pool. Down the building got convenient store, c. We had a great stay here. The place is clean, spacious and tidy. It was just short driving distance away from Gurney Drive and major shopping malls. There are shops in the building, very convenient for family with younger children we could easily get groceries that we need for the children. They do provide baby cot too. The children enjoyed the space and comfort as though they were at home. The staff is very friendly. It was very thoughtful of the staff to email us and ask about our time of arr. This is our second period of stay this month. This time we stayed in 12:1 a hill facing apartment that has an unusual layout with a smaller compact bedroom, and a bed near the window in an open plan /lounge/ dinner. Its clean cosy and generally comfortable in a location that provides easy reach to most places and is generally quieter part of city. We much preferred .the sea view apartment. Great location. Accommodation was fantastic. Bus stop outside the apartment. Plenty of buses. You can get number 102 from airport directly to the apartments. Excellent pool area. Supermarket in the mall. We had a wonderful stay & would highly recommend it. Jason was very helpful. Easy access to Penang & Batu Ferringhi. Stuff is polite and friendly, well the room is quite clean, comfortable with all necessary facilities as you need, including cooking tools. Location is very good for shopping, and there's a Tesco supermarket within 20mins walking. Night market is right beside the hotel with so many kinds of local food. the services (jason is really friendly, love him) amenities (got washing machine, dryer, stove, hood, microwaves, refrigerator, pool) just below the apartment got supermarket. easy excess to Georgetown and teluk bahang (where most of the attraction place are) by using buses 101 & 102. - The facilities provided were literally more than enough. - Friendly approach by the staffs. - Located in between Batu Ferringi and Georgetown, making it an ideal location for Penang trip. - Flexibility of the services provided. - Worth much more than it costs. Great stayed with my family and would strongly recommend this great place. the room is spacious every little thing that we don't think we need are provided the staff were very helpful and polite we really enjoyed our stay here though it was for a short while. Spacious Room, clean, home away from home. complete with tv, washing machine, drying machine and even microwave although we didnt use much of the facilities. Cleanliness and comfort esply travelling with family the washer and dryer as well as basic cooking equipments really meet my needs. Almost everything. Jason, the manager was so friendly and helpful. He smoke tooo damn much. Malaysia should start to be strict on the no smoking zone. Basement parking is free for tenant... 7am to 11pm... After 11pm, the shutter will close, and I can't locate the guard to open the shutter, so when I come back late, I need to park my car outside. The swimming pool was closed due to paint works. There was only 1 big bowl in the kitchen, maybe they could place at least 4 as the room was meant for 4pax. The windows can be opened wide .. the shower water temperature goes from hot to tepid in minutes.. there are heavy traffic passing through the main carriage way on the hill facing apartments and construction for a shopping mall and two residency tower block is underway just opposite to Island Plaza. No soap for handswashing, wifi is a little slow for using. Air-con straight towards the beds make the sleep not so qualified. when we come to swiming pool, no one provide reception and introduction, cool style. the bed is a bit hard for me. - the view-facing the busy road - not enough kitchen ware & table ware. The access road from gurney drive can be quite jammed during weekend. although wireless internet is provided but the speed is a huge let down. There will be great if there are two toilets instead of one... No valet or designated parking space for guests staying there. It will be handy if you have your own transport. There was no direction for qiblat. Muslims need to bring compass along if they want to stay there. A little far from where I wanted to go. But to visit Penang, it would be a nice location~. People misusing the spa n pool.ie wearing mufti into spa.smoking drinking eating in Spa. But manager Jason dealt with issue well when reported. Provide some direction to the check-in desk for first time visitors. No night light for young children. Wifi not strong enough ,sometime loss. Good location but traffic in this area very high. nothing. They don't have baby pool There's only one toilet for the whole unit... The utensils are not enough Should have put more since we are allowed to cook. the location. swimming pool dirty. For family suites should have 2 bedroom and 2 washroom. toilet and bathroom should have been attached to bedroom. very inconvenient to go out of bedroom to living room and then to toilet especially at night.
