Great location - it was a few blocks away from Gurney drive. Palaquinn is also in the area of very good food! Such as the Pulau Tikus market, ans hokkien mee and mee goreng. Staff (Jennifer) was very warm and enthusiastic, she pointed out to me the nearby attractions and the places for good food. I stayed in the loft suite, which was on the top floor. It was very spacious - with my own living room, balcony, bedroom ans open air bathroom, I felt like I had the whole house to myself. Great privac.

Location is not in the historical centre but a 10min bus ride leads there easily, safely and cheaply until late at night. More over, staff is super friendly, super helpful and super sweet. The receptionist is an amazingly helpful person! always a smile on her face and happy to provide tips and help!. love their hotel room environment so much. Relaxing and quiet. Location. Historic feel, lot of space, open air-bathroom. For heritage enthusiasts only!. Close proximity to Gurney drive. It was noisy throughout the night, even at 2, 3 and 4 am. Cars and motorbikes still drove past, and it was a week night. Suggest ear plugs. The kettle in the living room was also not cleaned - there were ginseng roots in them, likely to be left by the previous occupant. All in all, I loved my stay in Palaquinn, despite the poor night's sleep. The heritage house experience was exactly what I was looking for and I loved the whole ambience. Very lovely. Nothing - everything was perfect. The location is a bit far off the main touristic attractions. The room is too small for family with young children. Paid RM50 for extra mattress but it is too thin mattress. 只是有点遗憾的是，我们的套房中的冷气不够冷。。。这一点希望能得到改善，对我来说就相当完美了！. It's not a 4 star hotel, 1920's 2 story small houses that are slightly renovated. Far from center, no view, poor naigbourhood. Not able to talk to staff when there was a need too. AC was weak, front door lock didn't inspire confidence, consumables (e.g. tea, water) were not replenished next day. Towels not changed.
