- new hotel - location of this hotel is nearby Penang Times Square - still within walking distance to Komtar & Penang Road - at the city center & easy find the local foods - simple room for triple pax, with a queen & single bed and accomodate with a flat screen tv. - Aircond was very good. - clean bathroom with good shower and water pressure. - The receptionists were friendly and helpful. - Cheap. I would recommend this hotel for those who is looking for a budget friendly hote.
alle vurderinger » Everything was great, this is a beautiful, clean hotel with really helpful staff and within walking distance from the historic center of Georgetown. Strong air-conditioner and comfortable rooms with en-suite bathrooms. I'd recommend this one to young couples and I'd go back again myself gladly. The room amenities were completed with what we needed, the modern room design and the cleanliness of the hotel are what impressed us the most, staffs were friendly, overall it was worth what we've paid for. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping centres like Gamma & Times Square. And is abt 10 mins to Komtar. Food is available easily. Suitable for solo & couples. Value for money. Everything looks new, very clean en still its cosy. Also the staff was extremely helpfull and accompanied me to an Indian restaurant, to show me the way, when I arrived around midnight. The night shift uncle is so friendly and took care of us who're girls and always went back to our room after midnight. Our room is quite comfortable and big enough for 3 person. near Komtar and many department stores. there is a No 203&204 (To Penang Hill&Kek Lok Si temple) bus stop close to a hotel. Good location. Within walking distance to eating places and mall. Staff was helpful. Rooms clean but wish they had a bigger table. Very good location. The location near Komtar. nothing. - Hindu Temple is next to the hotel and there is another one opposite the road, so you would hear the bells very loud during their praying time. - quite hard to find public parking at peak our due to the location of the hotel at the center of Georgetown. Our room didn't have a window. That made me feel slightly claustrophobic. However the lighting made up for it, making the room look spacious and feel comfortable enough. Also, the price could have definitely been lower. I found it a little over-priced. Not sure if all the rooms are without windows or we were assigned to one without it. The surrounding is a little quiet. The location was a little hard to find, make sure you have gps or a map otherwise you keep walking around. The lack of parking lots is hard for those who came here by car. Very small room and bath. The desk too small, so all things have to put on the floor. The wash basin too small about 9cm x 15cm, have problem put your face close to the tap water and doing so your head may knock the glass shelf which is too low above the basin. They don't automatically clean your room when you leave for the day. I expected maid service as it seems like a very nice hotel. Also for the price you would expect there to be a breakfast included. There wasn't even a restaurant so I guess they can't really do that. Water flow in shower too small and weak pressure. Wash basin in bathroom too small. There were a few ants on the dressing table. Wifi not working from my room , there was a water in the kettle from previous person in the room , we booked a triple deluxe room but they gave us a smaller room ,. The hotel isn't located in the touristic center. However, it is still within walking distance to the main attractions. Noise from other rooms, the walls are very thin. no windows with some of the rooms and i can hear people doing something in their room. weak wifi signal. beside the hindu temple bell on every early morning. Not being able to pay on card when we arrived because the person on night shift wasn't confident about using the eftpos machine, and asked us to leave an additonal deposit for the room in cash, which was not stated in the booking details. Front rooms of the hotel are very noisy from the main road that passes along the end of the street. Noise from adjoining room feels like you are in the same room. A bit noisy from the street. There is almost no furniture inside room (shelves would be nice) which led to fact that our room service thrown away with garbage some of our stuff!!!!. The AC was not that flexible. we could not reduce the temperature. they asked for deposit of 50MYR per room. Limited tv channel, poor receiver for the available tv channel, poor wifi as well. Parking space, Entertainment, Slow WIFI. Too noisy maybe facing main road. The room without cabinet to hang the clothes. The dustbin is too small. no sleeping in after 6.30am as there is a temple on the side ringing bells non-stop until around 8am.Room is a bit small for 4pax. Deposit Garantee, hotel require RM 250 by cash only. The room too small & no parking. - small ants around the room - thin walls & hearing the talking of people next to my room - 10 minute loud drum & bells every day by the temple in front of the hotel. no parking. phone and table crawling with ants. Located behind a Hindu temple and another nearby, ritual bell will be heard especially those who stay in triple room downstairs with just a wall separated the temple, smelly incense when stepped out of the hotel. Power supply didn't work when we first checked-in, problematic tv with unclear screen, and some ants inside bedroom. Inconvenient because no nearby hawker stalls, unless crossing the road to another side, which is quite dangerous as the attitude of drivers in Penang is rude. A very small room without windows. Noisy in the morning (people speaking or working). If you arrive after 6pm, they can book the room one more time. Some people in the staff are thinking only money. I give 50 euros deposit because I want to pay later. And, 2 hours later, they tell me: "you need to give 50 rm deposit when you will pay the room". Not good value for money. The room is too small, not enough space for our stuff; the heater is not working properly; found 3 places with the same name 'Old Penang' so it's quite confusing for 1st time visitor. receptionist look unhappy, no smile, no courtesy.
