To start with, the hotel was very well designed and clean.
Our room was on the last floor with a magnificent view to the entire city. It was fully equipped, very clean, and spacious. There was also a water boiler and a couple of free coffee and tee bags in the room.

Right infront of the Central Station. You can get a City Sightseeing bus infront of the hotel, maybe a 5-10 minute walk to the Grund - The hotel and staff are fantastic and get better each time we use the hotel. Great location for transport links.

The apartment was beautiful. Three big bedrooms one of which had a crib and changing table. Very modern, new and clean. We especially enjoyed the whirpool tub. Location was right downton and there was an amazing Italian restaurant around the corner and delicious bakery right on our doorstep. -

Hotel Carlton is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Although in a not particularly salubrious part of Luxembourg the hotel is well situated for the station and is only a short walk to the old city. The concierge at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. He took us to a restaurant, he served an excellent breakfast, he told us how to get on the bus. We felt like family. He needs a raise.
The orange juice at checkin was a bonus.
The breakfast was superb.
The decor of the hotel is fantastic.
We will be recommending this hotel to our travel agent.

The shower had a transparent window to the sleeping room. It might have been sexy to have a woman in the room, maybe from a nearby night club, but I had none in my case, I am afraid.
The invoice I have been given initially had two different daily rates for the two different nights of stay and for this reason was not good of the preferred format for maximising the reimbursement from my company, so the staff was helpful to re-do the invoice with the same rate for both days.

explore around although the city is pretty small.
Hotel is very near to the train station. About 10-15 minutes walk to the old town.
Very basic furnishings. Queen size mattress, not one of those joining two single beds. Clean otherwise.
Staff was quite friendly too.
There are two Chinese supermarket opposite the hotel.
