The hotel had character and the traditional Japanese style rooms were huge with separate toilet and bathroom and a separate area with a small table and chairs. The Japanese style breakfast was different on each of the three days that we stayed. The owner had a great sense of humour and spoke good English. He emailed us to find out when our train would arrive so that he could pick us up at the station. He also drove us to the entrance of the Snow Monkey Park and arranged private access to the .
