A 5-minute drive from Miyanoura Port, Wa no Cottage Sen-no-ie offers private Japanese-style cottages surrounded by nature. Guests can enjoy playing in the water, shrimp fishing and stargazing at Shiratani River a 1-minute walk away.
Wooden cottages come with a tatami (woven mat) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread for sleeping. They are equipped with a CD player, a microwave and a fridge. A washstand and en suite toilet are provided, while bathroom facilities are shared.
Sen-no-ie features goemon-buro bathtubs, which are heated from below. Guests sit on a floating wooden lid in the bath. Wa-no-cottage offers laundry services and luggage storage.
The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Yakushima Airport, and a 20-minute drive from the breathtaking vistas of Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine (Cloud Water Valley). The Senhiro Waterfalls can be admired a 50-minute drive away.

Amazing staff, drove us to the port, to the grocery store and again to
the port at 6.30 am in the morning. Offered to dry our clothes in the
drying area knowing that we went kiyaking in the day. Even though we
forgot to take them in the morning, they are senting it to us!! Prepared
CHarcoal in the bbq area for us to cook on and cool little bath. You get
your own little cottage!!.
-very friendly and helpful owner: gives you a lift to the village, if needed, prepares bbq facilities, takes care of any matter
-very nice privat woodfire-onsen with view on the river

The most friendly and helpful staff that I've ever seen anywhere in the world.
The place is absolutely beautiful. It is located between Yakushima mountains next to a stream.
The hot bathtubs are a perfect way to relax after enjoying the beautiful nature and wildlife of Yakushima.
