Featuring natural hot-spring baths and fresh Japanese meals, Kashoutei Hanaya Ryokan offers spacious rooms overlooking the Oyunuma River. Relaxing massages and exciting horse-riding activities are on offer.
Guests can choose a classically furnished Western room or a Japanese room with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon beds. Each room includes a satellite TV, an air humidifier/purifier and a private toilet. Bathing facilities are shared.
Located in Hokkaido’s famous Noboribetsu hot springs area, the hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Noboribetsu Onsen Bus Terminal. The ropeway (cable car) to Noboribetsu Bear Park is a 10-minute walk away, and Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura historical theme park is a 10-minute drive.
The 24-hour reception provides luggage storage services, and free parking is offered.
Rich, fragrant coffee can be savoured in the Hanaya Ryokan’s coffee lounge. Guests taking meals at the hotel will enjoy in-room multi-course meals featuring local specialities (kaiseki).

Everything was off-the-scale of excellence in this Japanese-style ryokan. The staff all fell over themselves to be welcoming and obliging -- they couldn't have been nicer. We were welcomed and shown to our room well before the official check-in time, given drinks and snacks. The spa facilities, both indoor and outdoor were the nicest we found in our stay in Japan. Is good place for a couple who need privacy and relax. Staffs are good, very polite, friendly and helpful. The dinner was awesome, nicely decorated and delicious, lots of dishes and definately value for money.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and warm. Innkeeper even gave us a ride and left careful instructions on how to explore the walking trails. A cosy accomodation with a very comfortable in-house onsen.
very nice Ryokan with friendly staff, large japanese style room, few steps from restaurants and the famous onsens of noboribetsu onsen, free car parking and wi-fi.
The best staff that I've ever met, very helpful and polite. The dinner was also very delicious. Taxi from Noboribtsu Station to the hotel costs less than 1800yen.

While definitely within walking distance, it is still slightly further from the town centre compared to the other hotels.
