Location. You can walk there from train station and see morning market, hakodate beer, red brick warehouses, bay view shopping and 7/11 all within that 1 km to hotel. No uphill walking. Nice supermarket on corner. Other tourist sites and trolley right there. The hostel is very clean, and the host is also very friendly. I would recommend this stay for sapporo. Many Hakkodate spots are in a walking distance.
