Opened in March 2013, Fukuoka Hana Hostel is ideally located a 2-minute walk from the popular Nakasu area and the Canal City shopping mall. It provides free in-room Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen and internet PCs. Bicycle rentals are available. The hostel is a 5-minute walk from Nakasu-kawabata Subway Station, and a 15-minute walk from JR Hakata Shinkansen (bullet train) Station and Tenjin Subway Station. Fukuoka Baseball Dome is a 25-minute drive away. Hana Hostel Fukuoka provides a spacious lounge area with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are available. The common kitchen includes a large fridge, a microwave and cooking stoves. Free coffee and tea can be enjoyed. Each bunk in the dormitory rooms come with a bed light and a personal safe. Japanese-Style private rooms are fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding, while other rooms feature bunk beds. Towels can be rented. No meals are served at the property.

Best hostel I've ever stayed at! The people working there were SOOOOO sweet. The location was in an old shopping arch-aid, not far from both the train station and the busy Tenjin area. The facilities were great. I had a bunk bed with a futon and wide shelf (big enough to keep my large backpack there) and a large box/locker also next to the bed. There was a curtain to pull for privacy and to keep the light out. They have a nice new kitchen with good cooking supplies, free use of spices, and free.

My hostel of choice going forward. This hostel is new, very well designed and perfectly positioned on a canal between the Canal City complex and the Tenjin nightlife area. Staff are very friendly. Dorms have air conditioning for those hot muggy nights. Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again!. The rooms and kitchen were clean. The kitchen had everything needed. The entrance is a little tricky to find. It should be noted that the entrance is from within the arcade, not the canal side. A little plumbing problem with the bathrooms on my floor but was not a major factor in the stay. Kitchen is somewhat small for so many guests staying there but workable. Breakfast traffic was high sometimes. As it is a hostel chain, the hostel is not as flexible as other smaller one to change the booking. Nothing!. Smaller inside common room. If you don't have a deep sleep, you might be easily woken up. But, this is a part of the guest house staying. A little hard to find in the shopping at arcades. Hard beds. Directions could have been more clear... Didn't realize the entrance was inside the mall... a bit expensive for a hostel in Fukuoka.
